This unique 1913 historic Southern Colonial home was ordered from the Sears Roebuck
catalogue. The Milton House Bed and Breakfast is one of 100,000 Sears homes ordered
and assembled by the owners. There are many in existence today, two here on Main
Street, Stanley attesting to the quality and design of their construction. The Milton House
Bed and Breakfast derives it’s name from the Model name in the mail order catalog. The
MILTON HOUSE Bed and Breakfast Inn has a Three Diamond Award from AAA and is
located in the bucolic town of Stanley, Virginia, 7 miles south of Luray in the Shenandoah
River Valley near the famous Luray Caverns and Skyline Drive.
Your hosts, Anita and John, are the new owners of the Milton House. They both bring
many years of hospitality and food services background. The house and Log cabin have
been recently restored and freshly painted. John and Anita continue to upgrade, refurbish
and restore this magnificent home. Their next big project is restoring the Arbors,
landscaping and adding outdoor rooms for the guests enjoyment. If you have been a
guest of the Milton House in the past, you will be very pleased with the “new” old Milton
House.
Enjoy one of our antique appointed rooms in the Main House with private bath and
fireplace (one with a Jacuzzi tub for two) or spend some romantic time in one of the Log
Cabin suites with fireplaces and their own private Jacuzzi type hot tubs. All guests have
the option to a full breakfast or having a continental breakfast delivered to their door each
morning. Guests will be asked at check in for their preference.
Milton House Bed and Breakfast Inn is in the Shenandoah River Valley nestled between
the Massanutten Mountains and the Blue Ridge Mountains, near the Shenandoah
National Park, George Washington National Forest, Skyline Drive, New Market Battlefield
and the Massanutten Ski Resort, Antique shops, Vineyards, Canoeing, Great Fishing, and
Hiking.
Your hosts at Milton House have created Guides for Guests and these Guides are
provided for guests in their Suites. They have been created to help guests discover what
the Shenandoah Valley, Page County and the extended area has to offer. Anita and John
are happy to make reservations and arrangements for activities and restaurants.

The Mount Vernon Suite
Rates: $195 per night on Fri. & Sat. and holidays, $155 per night Sun.-Thurs.
Romance awaits you in this 2 room suite with a fireplace and a small refrigerator.
Comfy queen sized sleigh bed awaits you. Relax on the balcony, or head for the private
Jacuzzi for 2 in the garden appointed room.
The Monticello Suite
Rates: $145 per night on Fri. & Sat. and holidays, $120 per night Sun.-Thurs.
This suite is in the main house. It has a full sized bed, with a small sitting room off the
bedroom, private bath with double shower for two people, skylight in the bathroom and a
gas fireplace.
The Belle Grove Suite
Rates: $135 per night on Fri. & Sat. and holidays, $115 per night Sun.-Thurs.
This suite is in the main house. It has a queen size bed, private bath.

A full breakfast is available in the Milton House at 9:00 a.m. You may ask for a continental
breakfast basket at check in.

This 650 sq. ft. luxury suite has a Queen size, 4 poster bed, gas log fireplace, lovely
seating area, private entrance, private bath, log walls with beam ceiling. The cabin reflects
the outdoors. The Log Cabin also features a TV, VCR, refrigerator, coffee maker and a
Jacuzzi style hot tub for two outside the cabin. There is a two night minimum on all
weekends. Rates: $195 per night on Fri. & Sat. and holidays, $155 per night Sun.-Thurs.
(with the exception of the previously mentioned holidays).
Cabin 2— Skyline View Suite (Upper Level Suite)
This 650 sq. ft. suite, decorated in a county style, has just been refurbished with a new 6’
picture window to enjoy the mountain view. This suite has a Queen size bed, gas log
fireplace, lovely seating area, TV, VCR, a private full size bath, and a private entrance.
Enjoy the mountain views from your room or relax in the outside hot tub for two, perfect for
star gazing! There is a two night minimum on all weekends. Rates: $195 per night on Fri.
& Sat. and holidays, $155 per night Sun.-Thurs. (with the exception of the previously
mentioned holidays).
Milton House Reservation Policies
* Accommodations include full breakfast in the Main House or a breakfast delivered to
your door.
* Reservations require a deposit by credit card or check. Seven days are allowed for
checks to arrive. The minimum deposit is equivalent to a one night's rate and will be
applied to your last night reserved.
* Cancellations must be received at least 7 days prior to arrival to receive a refund.
* Check-in from 3 pm
* Check-out time is 11 am
* No children or pets please
* A two-night minimum stay is required in all the suites on week-ends and holidays.
Thursday when combined with a Friday night is at full weekend price. Or a Saturday night
combined with a Sunday night stay are at full weekend price.
* Add $20.00 for Thursday through Sunday nights during October and during some
major holiday periods.

Follow I-66 West to the Linden Exit, turn left at the bottom of the ramp, then right to the
stop light (US 55). In Front Royal turn left onto US 340 South, and go 24 miles to Luray. In
the Town of Luray follow US 340 Business South for 7 miles to the Town of Stanley. We're
located to your left on Main Street, three houses past the Stanley Baptist Church.
From Richmond & Charlottesville, VA
Exit I-64 West onto US 340 North at Waynesboro, Virginia. Follow US 340 North through
the Towns of Elkton and Shenandoah. Go 7 more miles and exit right onto US 340
Business North. Drive 5 miles to the Town of Stanley. We are the fifth house past the
Stanley Plaza Shopping Center on the right.
From Interstate 81 and the Shenandoah Valley
Exit the Interstate at the historic town of New Market, Virginia. Take US 211 East over the
Massanutten Mountains. At the foot of the mountain, turn right onto US 340 South, go 3
