
The Boxwood Inn is located within easy reach of Williamsburg, Newport News and

the home of Simon Curtis (the "boss man" of Warwick County), the inn is located in
Historic Lee Hall Village, just minutes from Williamsburg and Yorktown. There is much to
do here in Virginia's Historic Triangle, and the Boxwood Inn is located right in the center of
it. Whether you enjoy a stroll through the park, or a day of historic reenactment; golf or
theme parks; shopping or museums; you can be at any of these destinations in minutes.
Accommodations at The Boxwood Inn:
General "Black Jack" Pershing & other military officers have stayed here in the past - and
now we invite you to join us. Our rooms have queen-sized beds and private baths. In
keeping with the historic setting, rooms are comfortably furnished with antiques. After a
night's rest and a full breakfast downstairs, our location puts you at the "hub" of a number
of historic sites, shopping, and area attractions.

The General Pershing Suite
General "Black Jack" Pershing is said to have been a frequent visitor and a friend of the
Curtis family. Officers stationed at Camp Eustis stayed here with their families during
World Wars I and II. A two room suite with a queen size bed, antique furnishings, private
bath, and a trundle bed for an extra guest.

The Traveling Salesman
Mrs. Curtis played hostess to frequent travelers arriving in the area on the train. It is said
that she always saved a room for the Jewel Tea and Coffee salesman because he left
her a supply of tea and spice for her efforts. The Traveling Salesman Room has a private
bath, and an antique tub.

Miss Nana's Room
A queen size bed, complete with an antique chamber pot, found in the attic. Antique
armoire for your clothes. A private bath and lots of memorabilia make this room a favorite.

The Politician's Room
The Curtis' were host to many social events and political gatherings. It is said that when
the train stopped on weekends all the neighbors watched socialites in evening dress,
walk over to the house for dinner and dancing on the glass enclosed porch. The two room
suite has private bath, and a recessed queen size bed.

Reservation Policy
Our inn is very small unlike a hotel... changes and cancellations may prevent us from
accommodating others. All reservations must be guaranteed by credit card or personal
check in the amount of one night's prepayment. Reservations canceled less than 7 days
prior to arrival will be charged a $25 cancellation fee.
Sorry: no smoking, children, or pets.
Unless prearranged: Check-in is 4 - 6 pm. Check-out is 11 am.

We offer an early bird basket for those who must depart before our regular hours. We also
offer a sleepy head basket for those who prefer to eat in their room prior to check out.
Make Your Wedding Historic
Your wedding is special, and The Boxwood Inn can provide a memorable setting as well
as catering for the event of your life. We can accommodate 140 for a sit down affair, and
up to 200 for a standing reception.
Our Weddings are Unique to each Bride, We will customize a package just for you with all
your Visions while keeping all guidelines to include budget. We will do as much or as
little as you wish.
