worry, we've got you covered, with free WIFI throughout the property and a computer,

Rooms:
Each of our five rooms is designed with your comfort and safety in mind. We anticipate
your needs and provide many upscale amenities. Barclay Cottage is not appropriate for
children under 18 years of age, or for pets.
Lillian's Room
This first floor romantic Victorian-style room, with queen size bed keeps the memory of
Lillian Barclay alive. Use the antique writing desk to write home or to work. The
bathroom has an air jetted spa tub and heat lamp.

Lighthouse Room
You will not forget you’re at the beach in this intimate first floor room, with queen size
bed. Test your knowledge of American lighthouses! The bathroom has an air jetted spa
tub.

In this peaceful second floor room, with queen size bed, you will relax surrounded by
whimsical features, original art and our family heirloom antiques. You’ll relax in the tub
listening to soothing sounds.

Garden Room
You will feel as if you are sleeping on a cloud in your king bed in this romantic second
floor room decorated with peaceful garden scenes. Time will seem to move more slowly
as you rock in Steve’s great-grandmother’s rocking chair.

This room will make you feel as if you are waking up in your family’s beach house. Read
by Steve’s grandmother’s antique lamps and relax in Miss Lillian Barclay’s rocking
chair. The comfy beds can be arranged as twins or a Euro-king bed.

Prices:
State and Local taxes are 13% plus $1.00 per night city occupancy tax.
2 night stay minimum on weekends between 5/15 and 9/30 and 3 night minimum on
Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day.
Breakfast:
At Barclay Cottage’s Virginia Beach bed and breakfast, you’ll awaken to the aroma of
freshly ground coffee and prepare to enjoy a festival of flavors, served family style. You’ll
enjoy home baked pastries, fresh fruit and special entrées with an international attitude.

breakfast
Steve and Marie-Louise are both Certified Food Service Managers. Although bed and
breakfasts are not required to be subject to the Virginia Health Code, we have opted in
to Code enforcement, and, unlike those of most Virginia B&Bs, our kitchen and food
handling practices are regularly inspected and tested by the Virginia Beach Health
Department.
