After five years of missing guests, Three Bears at The Fountain Bed and Breakfast Inn
reopened in December of 2009. Suzanne and Stephen Vazzano are again welcoming
guests to Stowe, Vermont’s most romantic and historic bed and breakfast. Interior
renovations and updated amenities have re-awakened the warmth, charm, and romance of
The Fountain and we look forward to greeting previous and new guests.
In our desire to create a complete guest experience, new comforts and services have been

Stowe. With six bedrooms, the Inn is conveniently located just one mile north of Stowe’s
restaurants, shops, year round activities, and the East’s best skiing.

characteristics including original corner fireplaces . With a wraparound porch, perennial

Range, our unspoiled, wildlife-filled wetlands, the setting invites romance, relaxation, and
renewal. Large guests rooms, cozy breakfast room, spacious living room with wood-burning
fireplace, flatscreen TV/DVD, and a sitting and game room, complete your Vermont Inn
experience “where everything is just right.”
The adjacent Carriage House, built in 1796, is one of the oldest buildings in Stowe and has
been lovingly restored.Romance is always in the air and how better to explore it than on an
escape to Three Bears at The Fountain.
What makes for a romantic stay can be expressed in many ways; cozying up to the wood-
burning fire while enjoying the treats of a Vermont Welcome Basket, relaxing in the hot tub
with a glass of wine, watching the sun set over Mt. Mansfield from the Gazebo, or candle light
and Chocolate Dip’t Strawberries in your room after Tandem Massages.

Each of our rooms is distinctive in color and decor with fresh flowers, homemade candies,
bath bouquets, extra pillows, Turkish bath towels, plush bathrobes, hair dryers, iPod
Dock clock radio, and our special room gifts.
Also, each room has a Stowe Reporter -the town’s paper, a Stowe Guide Magazine, and a
Restaurant and Retail Guide.
Rooms:
The Fountain Room is located upstairs with a King bed, gas fireplace, sitting area with two
cozy swivel rockers and private bath with tiled shower.
The Goldilocks Room is located upstairs and has a King bed, pine armoire, sitting area, and
private bath with antique claw foot tub and shower.
The Three Bears Room, also located upstairs, has a King bed, Jacuzzi tub, beamed
cathedral ceiling, sitting area, gas fireplace, cable TV with DVD player, mountain views, and
private bath.
The Fireside Room is located downstairs and has a Queen bed, cable TV with DVD player,
an original (non-working) fireplace, and private bath.
Guest Suites:
The Master Suite is in the connecting 1796 Carriage House. This 500+ sq. ft. room offers
deluxe King bed, sitting area, gas fireplace, cable TV with DVD, CD player, refrigerator, coffee
maker, two-person Jacuzzi tub, and separate shower. The Carriage House also has it’s
own hot tub, exclusively for Master Suite guests, on the back deck overlooking the Mountain.
The Queen Suite, located in the Main House, has a Queen bedroom, mountain views, living
area sofa and chairs, cable TV with DVD player , gas fireplace, refrigerator, counter with
stools, coffee maker, and private bath.
Queen Suite 2, the Queen Suite plus a small double room and pull-out sleep sofa. Sleeps
up to 5.

* Advance deposit of 50% is required by credit card. Single-night stays are charged in full at
time of booking. Deposit, less cancellation fee, is refundable for cancellations made prior to
15 days (30 days during Foliage and Holiday periods).
*Room deposit confirms responsibility for your full reservation total for reservation
cancelled outside of the allowed time.
*A $25.00 administrative fee will be deducted from the amount of a refunded deposit.
*Payment in full is due upon arrival.
* No refunds made for delayed arrivals or early departures.
* Check-in is from 3:00-9:00 pm. Check-out is at 10:30 am.
