Applewood Manor is an award-winning Bed & Breakfast in beautiful Central Vermont. It’s a
place where guests are welcomed and feel at ease; where the innkeepers are amiable and
attentive. It’s a place where the beds are comfy and breakfasts are tasty; where the grounds
are lovely and history surrounds you. It’s a place where conversation is easy and

Our Rooms & Rates:
Applewood Manor has five well-appointed, air-conditioned guestrooms. Four of the rooms
are named after members of the Hoyt family who built the house, while the fifth room,
Suzanne’s room, is named after Suzanne Hagenlocher, the previous owner. Our three
grandest rooms are in the colonial front of the house, and the oldest part of the house has
two smaller bedrooms. The pillow-top mattresses are really comfortable, and our linens are
luxuriously soft. Each guest bedroom has its own private bathroom. (The bathroom for
Suzanne’s room is next door to the bedroom rather than in the bedroom.) Our room rates
include a delicious full breakfast. Please contact us about rates for extended stays, multiple
room bookings, and frequent visitors.
Hannah’s Room;
Hannah’ room is bright and beautiful offering a blend of comfort and luxury. A romantic and
restful night is promised by the King canopy bed with pillow-top mattress and comfy
bedding. A wing-back chair and recliner provide a peaceful sitting area. A rollaway bed is
available for this room. Hannah’s room has a brightly-decorated, spacious, en suite
bathroom.
Hannah’s room rate varies from $100 to $140 (plus 9% Vermont Meals & Rooms tax).
Noah’s Room;
Overlooking the yard and front of the manor, Noah’s Room is rich and spacious. The
majestic four-poster Queen bed with pillow top mattress promises a restoring night’s sleep.
Relax in one of the comfortable sitting chairs; put your feet up, read a book or magazine. A
rollaway bed is available for Noah’s room. The en suite bathroom is quite special with
oriental wallpaper, large corner shower, and double sinks with marble vanity top.
Noah’s room rate varies from $100 to $140 (plus 9% Vermont Meals & Rooms tax).
Sarah’s Room;
This former parlor has been elegantly transformed into a lovely first floor bedroom. The
décor is charming with beautiful wallpaper, a stylish queen bed and an antique
walnut/maple dressing table. The duvet is really light and cozy. The compact en suite
bathroom is attractively decorated and provides a spacious tiled shower.
Sarah’s room rate varies from $100 to $130 (plus 9% Vermont Meals & Rooms tax).
Delia’s room;
Delia’s room is in the 18th century part of the house and has twin beds that can be easily
bound together to form a king bed. Pillow-top mattresses provide soft and luxurious comfort
for a peaceful night’s sleep. An elegant vanity stands in the corner of the bedroom, and the
adjoining toilet/shower room, although small, is bright and appealing.
Delia’s room rate varies from $80 to $120 (plus 9% Vermont Meals & Rooms tax).
Suzanne’s Room;
For the budget-conscious traveler, Suzanne’s room is our smallest room with a full/double
bed. It’s comfortable and pleasantly decorated. Because the bathroom is next door to the
bedroom, cushy bathrobes are provided. The private bathroom is quite charming with
oriental wallpaper and, because of the sloping eaves, a hand-held shower.
Suzanne’s room rate varies from $75 to $95 (plus 9% Vermont Meals & Rooms tax).
Inside the House:
Library;
Here’s Nancy, one of our friends and frequent guests, making the most of the overstuffed
sofa in the library. You’re welcome to borrow books from the shelves, or play chess on the
Afghan set.
Dining-room;
Our dining-room has the original beehive oven and brick fireplace where Ralph lights a log
fire on chilly mornings. Around our communal table, guests find special connections and
make lively conversation.
Guest Lounge;
Guests love to chat, watch TV, or enjoy a movie in the lounge. In fact, guests love to lounge in
the guest lounge!
