unique lodging experiences, and we deliver a full hot breakfast to your room each morning
around 9 am. Our check in is any time after 3 pm and check out is 12 noon. We have
special packages to add to your romantic Texas getaway. We specialize in peace and
pamper. Check our availability calendar for rooms and dates you desire. We are a Texas
Wine Trail bed and breakfast located on the Way Out Wineries Trail.
Drive our country roads to experience the natural beauty and quiet serenity that we all
value so highly. Enjoy swaying oak trees and glimpses of wildlife dancing around you. Be

around 9 am each morning. You might expect something like Baked Cream Brulee
French Toast or a Mexican Quiche with cinnamon rolls. Fresh country eggs from our
Barred Rock chickens go in each recipe.

Cottonwood
This spacious room has accommodations for those who like an uncluttered look and
have a love for the arts. It has become one of our most popular rooms. It is great for
guests of the inn planning an extended stay in Texas. The bedroom has a queen size
Tempurpedic mattress for a great night's sleep. The living room/ kitchen has a
comfortable couch that may be used for a day bed, the sitting area and the dining area
look out over the pond. The kitchenette has a refrigerator, 2 burner cook top, microwave,
coffee maker and sink. The bath has a large tiled shower for two. The room is filled with
art and artistic creations made by area artist and your host.
Unique to the Cottonwood accommodations is a beautiful landscaped area that shelters
an outdoor hot tub exclusive (not private) for the Cottonwood guest. Sit on the front porch
and be soothed by the sound of the cottonwood tree rustling in the breeze and enjoy
wildlife coming in for their evening drink at the pond. The Cottonwood can be used for
extended stay with its spacious set up. This room does have a satellite TV. A full hot
breakfast is served to your room. Lodging in the Cottonwood Room makes any working
business trip to Brown County, TX feel like a vacation. We book this room for extended
stays several times a year, this usually occurs last minute, if this happens, we may have
to move you to another room, but will call to discuss this with you. $169.00 per night 2
night minimum on the weekend.

The Tuscany Suite
This suite is upstairs in the main house of our romantic Texas Hill Country inn. It has a
private entrance onto a balcony that overlooks the lily pond.
The Tuscany Suite offers a wonderfully secluded retreat in an ideal setting for romantic
getaways in the Hill Country of Texas. With its queen bed, and antique oak furniture, The
Tuscany Suite sets the stage for romance. The second room has a copper-surrounded
Jacuzzi tub for two.
After a day spent enjoying all of the attractions your Brown County, TX vacation has to offer,
return to the Star of Texas Bed and Breakfast for a relaxing evening and a restful night's
sleep in the tranquil atmosphere of your suite. The second-floor balcony provides a
peacful spot to sit out and enjoy being in the tree tops and listening to the waterfall below.
We deliver a full hot breakfast to your suite around 9:00 each morning. A small refrigerator,
coffee maker, and microwave also are provided.

The Wildrose Retreat
This guest house was built in 1908, moved, and restored for rental as a romantic Texas
Hill Country inn retreat.
The soft colors of this Texas honeymoon suite also create a tranquil atmosphere for a
vacation, an anniversary, or any other special occasion for a getaway retreat. It has a
spacious sitting room, kitchenette, large bath with double Jacuzzi tub, and mirrors. The
stairway leads you up to a loft bedroom with a queen iron bed. The double French doors
take you out to a sitting deck where you can enjoy the sunrise or a quiet evening under the
stars in the private hot tub for just the two of you.
After a day of exploring all that the Brownwood, TX area has to offer including fine local
restaurants, museums, theatre, outdoor activities, wine tours, and more, return to The
Wildrose Retreat at Star of Texas Bed and Breakfast for a candlelight dinner and a restful
night's sleep.

The Oak Cottage
This is our most requested Texas Hill Country cottage rental. The Oak Cottage provides a
secluded, country retreat. It is available for a private holiday getaway or extended vacation
stay.
This Texas Hill Country vacation rental was built by your hosts, the Morelocks, and is
home to mostly handmade furnishings by craftsmen friends and family. A spacious room
with a cathedral ceiling and hand- drawn cedar beams offers a great view through a large
picture window to watch the wildlife. The hand-textured and gauze-painted walls give a
natural glow, which enhances the warmth and soft light radiated by the pine walls. There
is a queen-size bed, shower in the bathroom, and an exclusive (not private) hot tub
located outside about 50' away. We know that you will relax and be refreshed. Enjoy a full
breakfast brought to your room. After a day exploring all that the TX Hill Country has to
offer, return to The Oak Cottage for a quiet evening, a candlelight dinner, and a restful
night's sleep. There is no phone or TV in this cottage.
If you are looking for pet friendly Texas Hill Country lodging, this is our only pet friendly
room. We must have prior notice if you are bringing a dog: there is a $10 per night per pet
fee.

Willowbend
The Willowbend is a tranquil, floral accented garden room with soft yellow walls and a
stained concrete floor. It provides a quiet place to celebrate a special occasion, or a
romantic getaway. Enjoy your breakfast seated in front of the double window looking out
over the pond. The spacious bathroom includes a large Jacuzzi tub for 2. There is a small
kitchenette with refrigerator, coffee maker, and TV. Relax in the Willow chairs on the front
porch. Enjoy looking at the lily pond and view deer feeding along the banks of the pond.
Rate: $139.00 per evening (requires 2 night min. stay on weekends)
Room 55
Have a romantic weekend getaway in this 1955, 40' Spartan Park Home. This was the top
of the line in it's time. We have restored it back to its fun Vintage 50's look with the original
Frigidaire refrigerator, great vintage décor & beautiful birch wood walls. The private
bedroom has a full bed with a comfy memory foam topped mattress. The small bathroom
has a quaint shower and little ceramic toilet. A bunk room with 2 bunk beds, the kitchen
and living/dining room adjoin to create a fun stay for your Hill Country getaway. The
outdoor patio has been built using bricks from the original JC Penney building from
downtown Brownwood, TX. Step back in time and enjoy a fun Texas Bed and Breakfast
experience in Room 55. This one is great for girlfriend getaways. A full breakfast is
delivered to your room. There is a TV, microwave, coffeemaker & refrigerator and ac/heat.
