The Victorian Ladies Inn ( Newport, RI )
Welcome to the Victorian Ladies Inn in the beautiful historic seaport of Newport, RI. Inside
you'll find graciously-appointed rooms, full baths and plenty of outside gardens in which to
relax and enjoy your time in Newport. Whether you're interested in Newport's famous
mansions, fine dining, or shopping, The Inn is a short walk to all of Newport's attractions
including nearby beaches, the Colonial town, famed mansions, Cliff Walk and harborfront
dining.
Innkeepers Cheryl and Harry continually provide a comfortable and welcoming hospitality at
this three building mini-compound, consisting of the Main Inn, Carriage House and Annandale
Cottage. Intimate and inviting, this traditional Newport Rhode Island bed & breakfast features
spacious guest bedrooms furnished with period pieces, fine reproductions, rich fabrics and
wallcoverings. Linger over a gracious breakfast in the dining room. Stroll through the
award-winning gardens, walk over the small bridge or gaze at the koi pond. Relax in the living
room while planning activities for the day in Newport... or just read a book after a fun day
exploring town with a cup of tea or a glass of wine.

This guest room, with a light and airy feeling, is located on the third floor of the main inn and
decorated with soft spring colors. The queen sleigh bed has a head canopy.

The Beatrice Room
A comfortable, cheery room on the third floor of the main inn, this is our "good morning,
sunshine" guest room. A warm mix of color and furnishings, with twin beds.

The Caroline Room
This cozy, tastefully appointed, quiet room with soft, muted colors, is located at the rear of the
third floor of the main inn. Your view from the window faces our carriage house and gardens. A
great room for romance, it has the feeling of being "tucked away".

The Sophie Room
This quiet room faces the rear gardens and is located on the second floor of the carriage
house. Tastefully decorated, a queen bed is surrounded by beige and red floral accents and
wide-planked pine flooring.

This elegant room is located on the second floor of the Annandale House, accessible from the
gardens through an exterior entrance. You'll find a queen bed, writing table, hints of Asia and a
light, emperor green motif.

This is a large, deluxe room with a four-poster queen bed and electric fireplace, located on the
second floor of the main inn. It boasts rich, deep colors, accented with a writing desk and
loveseat.

The Louise Room
Located on the first floor of the carriage house, it has an exterior, canopied entrance you
access through the gardens. In nice weather, you can enjoy your breakfast in your own private
courtyard. In chilly times, a gas fireplace with remote control enhances the room.

The Victoria Room
A truly romantic room on the first floor of the carriage house, it boasts French doors leading to
your own private deck, overlooking the gardens and koi pond. The burgundy walls are accented
with yellow, floral draperies including a headboard canopy over the queen size bed.

The Pauline Room
Our most spacious luxury room, which is decorated in a rich green color to highlight the king
canopy bed. To warm you during chilly days, it boasts a gas fireplace with an elegant surround.
This room also has a loveseat sofa that converts to a single pull-out-bed. It is located on the
second floor of the Annandale House, accessible through the gardens with an exterior
entrance. This room is very quiet and popular with our repeat guests.

The Arthur Room
A large, luxury room with a four-poster king bed and oversize private bath, it is decorated in
deep, rich colors and is located on the second floor of the main inn. To add to the romantic
ambiance, you'll find an electric fireplace.

A king Victorian bed with carved head and footboards awaits you on the second floor of the
carriage house. You will find rich burgundy walls with gold accents and views of the garden
and main inn.
