Villa Columbia ( Hood River, OR )
The Inn:

Walking through Villa Columbia's massive redwood door, you are immediately struck by the
beauty of our 1911 home. Rich wood-planked floors are accented by walls and box ceilings in the
same locally grown species of fir. Continuing into the inn, you are welcomed into The Great Room
by a magnificent fireplace, plush sofas, well-appointed antiques, a built-in bookcase and amazing
views of nearby rivers.

A villa is defined as a large, luxurious house. Villa Columbia exceeds this definition. Enjoy sipping
a cup of coffee or hot cocoa by a warm fire in The Great Room, retreat to one of our five quiet and
luxurious guestrooms or watch woodpeckers frolic in trees just outside the magnificent Dining
Room. Enjoy a gourmet breakfast in our Dining Room or Sun Room or from the porch overlooking
the Gorge, Columbia River and Mt. Adams. Wherever you look at Villa Columbia, you will find
beauty. The comfortable elegance of the house is accentuated by the wonderful river views that fill
each window and allow you to view the Columbia River Gorge from our Bed and Breakfast

Each guestroom is decorated with your total comfort in mind. Comfortable beds, luxurious linens,
carefully selected antiques, TV/DVD, private bathrooms featuring Jacuzzi bathtubs and rain
showers and astounding views of nearby rivers provide an unmatched environment. You will find
a friendly, relaxed atmosphere at Villa Columbia. We want you to feel comfortable enough to
mingle with other guests and enjoy your time in Hood River.

Each morning we serve a three-course gourmet breakfast made from scratch from only the finest
of ingredients including locally grown organic food. Complementary beverages, ice and cookies
are available throughout the day. Guests will find wireless Internet access, as well as places to
plug in laptops throughout the inn. Because parking in Hood River is limited, we've created a
private parking lot for guests complete with overlooking surveillance cameras. Guests with skiing,
kayaking, windsurfing and other equipment will find a secure place to store valuables within the
inn. We pride ourselves on meeting each guest request.

Rooms&Rates:

Hood River Room
Located on the inn's main floor, this cozy room features a French door that opens onto a main
porch with a wonderful view of Mt. Adams and the Columbia River. After a day of visiting wineries
or hiking, retreat to a queen-size wrought iron bed adorned with luxurious linens or reflect on your
experiences by writing a post card to friends at an antique desk. Enjoy the private bathroom
featuring a Jacuzzi tub, rain shower and a handcrafted marble-topped vanity cabinet. A large closet
and easy access to the inn's Great Room are also features of the Hood River. Watch cable TV
from your bed.

Wind River Room
After a day of exploring Hood River, sink into a comfortable king-size bed and watch the flames
flicker in your in-room fireplace or watch cable TV. The large, private bathroom contains an antique
soaking tub and pedestal sink, separate shower and inlay floors. A writing desk is situated in a
cozy corner near two large windows. A beautiful armoire provides storage for clothing and
shopping purchases. The Wind River Room is located on the inn's main floor and is south-facing,
which allows for plenty of natural light thanks to three large windows. By request, the king-size bed
can be separated to provide two extra-long twin beds.

Deschutes River Room
As the inn's largest room, the Deschutes River welcomes families with children 12 years of age or
older. After an afternoon of windsurfing or shopping in downtown Hood River, climb into a
comfortable queen-size sleigh bed outfitted with the finest linens. As you unwind, enjoy the warm
glow of your marble-topped fireplace. A plush sleeper sofa in a cozy nook area within the room
can accommodate two additional people. Browse through a travel planner from a large dresser
containing a fold-down desk, which provides storage and working space for guests. Or sink into a
beautifully upholstered wingback chair located next to a small table with a good book. The private
bath features a Jacuzzi tub and rain shower. This upstairs room contains a large, built-in closet.
Natural light filters through large windows. An individual heating/air conditioner unit allows you to
control the temperature of your room. Enjoy watching cable TV  from your bed.

White Salmon River
This wonderful upstairs room overlooks the mouth of the White Salmon River. The White Salmon
features a queen-size bed draped with plush linens. An antique bureau with a large mirror and
bedside tables with beautiful table lamps provide a very homey, yet elegant feeling. Enjoy gazing
at an original painting from the two comfortable chairs or gaze out the window to watch barges
make their way down the river gorge. A private bathroom contains a Jacuzzi tub, rain shower and
pedestal sink. An individual heating and air conditioning unit allows guests to control the
temperature within the room. This upstairs room contains TV/DVD and a large closet to hang
clothing and store purchases.

The Columbia River Room
This room contains the inn's best view of the Columbia River gorge. A queen-size wrought iron
bed draped with luxurious linens welcomes guests after a busy day of enjoying Hood River. Enjoy
the warm ambiance created by your marble-topped fireplace. From the moment you walk in the
Columbia River Room you will be impressed with the river view. Watch windsurfers test their skills
on the river while lounging on your bed or from a six-foot Jacuzzi tub in your private bathroom.
Enjoy reading a book in the room's sitting area overlooking the river or watch TV/DVD. A built-in
individual heating and A/C unit allows you to set the temperature at your comfort level. A large
closet allows for ample clothes storage.

Our Rooms

Whenever you need total relaxation, stay in one of Villa Columbia's five elegant guestrooms,
tastefully decorated with the finest furnishings and air conditioned and heated, most with
individually controlled thermostats. Fireplaces provide warmth on chilly winter days or cool
summer nights. Most have sweeping views of nearby rivers, including the Mighty Columbia.

Each comfortable bed is adorned with luxurious linens, including down comforters to ensure a
wonderful night's sleep. Most feature well-lit seating areas perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or
iced tea while reading a book from the inn's extensive library. Each contains cable TV and  a large
closet allowing guests to hang clothes and store purchases from their trip.

Modern, private bathrooms contain wonderful tile work. Most bathrooms have Jacuzzi tubs and
rain showers. Enjoy the amenities basket including bath products, plush robes and towels and a
hair dryer.

A gourmet, three-course breakfast of culinary delights such as omelets, crepes, pancakes,
Bavarian cream fruit tartlets and more is served each morning. Fresh fruit, handcrafted pastries
and breads, coffee and juice are part of the breakfast experience. Everything is made from scratch
from only the finest ingredients. Guests who want to begin exploring the magnificent Columbia
River Gorge area early can request a to-go breakfast.

The Area

There's something for everyone in Hood River, Oregon. The town, situated in the heart of the
Columbia River Gorge, offers amazing views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams and the Columbia River.
Walking through downtown Hood River you instantly feel welcomed by the easygoing and
comfortable ambiance of the town and its residents. Quaint homes, cozy coffeehouses and diners
and unique shops line the streets. After the sun sets, attend a play, go to a movie, take in a live
music show, enjoy a tasty dinner or savor a pint of ale or lager at Full Sail Brewery.

Skiers claim Hood River as a second home because of its proximity to the 11,239-foot Mount
Hood. The ski season starts early (usually before Thanksgiving) and provides plenty of natural
snow to keep skiers, snowboarders, tubers and sled enthusiasts happy throughout the winter
and beyond. Choices include Mt. Hood Meadows, Copper Spur Mountain Resort and the historic
Timberline Lodge at Government Camp. Timberline rests at 6,000 feet, collects more than 400
inches of snowfall each year and is the only year-round, lift-served ski area in the nation.

On Saturdays, stroll through Hood River's open-air market to sample locally grown produce, view
artists' work and listen to area musicians. The Saturday Market is held between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
from May to October in downtown Hood River at the intersection of 6th and State streets.
