Welcome to Open Season Lodge in historic Wellington, Ontario, a beautiful Waterfront Setting
on West Lake, overlooking Lake Ontario.
Conveniently located close to all amenities - boat launching, shopping, restaurants, golf courses
and antique galleries. A sand beach is within walking distance. Great bird watching! Excellent
fishing and boating!
Wake up to the smell of home made bread and muffins - Continental or Full Breakfast available.
The guest entrance and living room are separate from the family area. We can accommodate
groups of up to 16.
Seniors discount 10% (65 and over).
Weekly rates available (except July and August).
Special weekend packages for Spring and Fall.
The Inn:
Built in 1832, Open Season Lodge was the first hotel built in the village of Wellington, Ontario.
Easily the largest building in the village at that time, it has the spacious dimensions
characteristic of early hotels in the much admired "Loyalist" style.
Originally it was called "Wildman's Hotel" and is featured in the Settler's Dream, the book of
historic homes in Prince Edward County. It changed hands several times and was named the
"Murphy House" between 1914 to 1938, recalling Anthony Good Murphy. Most of the hotels of this
era are gone. Today's Open Season Lodge maintains the tradition of the old Wildman's Hotel /
Murphy House in Wellington.
How to find us:
Located on Loyalist Parkway - Highway 33 - Main Street Wellington. From the West use Hwy 401
and leave at Exit 522 at Wooler Rd South to Hwy 33 to Wellington.
From the East use Hwy 401, Exit 566, turn south to Hwy 49 to Picton and Hwy 33 West to
Wellington.
From the North use Hwy 62 South through Belleville to Bloomfield, turn West to Hwy 33 to
Wellington.
Lodge Policies:
Check-in time is anytime after 4 p.m. - check-out is anytime up to 11:00 a.m. on the day of your
departure.
To reserve a room, a VISA guarantee is required.
Deposits can be made by VISA.
All deposits are refundable if a cancellation is made within 2 weeks of arrival.
Room 1:
King bedsitter with ensuite bath, adjoining room with double and single bed. Can sleep up to 6
persons.
Room 2:
Queen bed with additional day bed. Shared bath.
Room 3:
Double bed with settee. Ensuite bath.
