The Aberdeen Inn was built as a large family residence in the early 1900's and is now part of the
Grove Park neighborhood of North Asheville, close to downtown and convenient to all local
attractions (see below).
One of the earliest houses built in the area, the Aberdeen Inn rests comfortably on a small rise
surrounded by nearly an acre of lawns, trees and gardens. From the columned wraparound front
porch, the oak and dogwood trees frame your view of the mountains surrounding Asheville.
Innkeepers:
Aberdeen Inn is managed by owner-operaters Tom Boyle and Michele Kala. Tom is trained as a
Master Chef and had been in private service for 22 years prior to opening a bed and breakfast in
Oak Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago in 1995. Michele is a registered nurse, but has long had a
passion for opening and running a bed and breakfast. She and Tom married in 2003 and have
been working together in Oak Park until they made the decision to purchase the Aberdeen Inn.
Tom and Michele pride themselves in establishing a restful and comfortable environment that is
close to local attractions such as downtown Asheville and the Biltmore.
Customer satisfaction is top priority for this couple who love to meet new people as well as visit with
old friends.

Breakfast:
Michele serves Tom's delectable breakfast that includes coffee, juice, fruits, pastries, pancakes,
tarts, custards, eggs, sausages, ham, bacon and a dessert! A beautiful way to start your day. And
Michele does all baking of breads and breakfast pastries
This full gourmet is served on the porch or in the sun room. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:30
a.m. unless special arrangements are made.
Directions:
The Aberdeen Inn accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover, travelers checks, personal checks and cash.
Local taxes will be added to room rates. An advance deposit (within 5 days of reservation request)
or credit card guarantee of one day's rate is required and is fully refundable up to 72 hours before
arrival date.
All children are welcome. We can accommodate infants and toddlers. North Carolina law prohibits
allowing pets in the guest quarters. For certain special event weekends, a two-night minimum is
required. For the comfort of all of our guests, there is no smoking allowed in the house.
Smoking is permitted on the porches.
Check in time is between 3:00 and 6:00 pm.
Prior arrangements are encouraged if these hours will not meet your schedule.
Check out time is 11:00 am.
