The Professor's Place located in beautiful St. Lawrence County in Northern New York State,
seven miles from
Canada via the Ogdensburg Prescott Bridge; close to Black Lake fishing and tourist area and
approximately two
hours to our Adirondack Mountains where Betty and Doc met years ago.
We are approximately 12 miles to Canton County seat and home of St. Lawrence University,
and Clarkson University,
The crane School of Music and State University at Potsdam. In Ogdensburg we have the World
Famous Remington
Museum.
Doc is a retired University of Scranton Professor who fell in love with this beautiful North
Country years ago and
decided to retire here. He will be happy to discuss education, or the joys of the North Country
and make you his
famous homemade bread. Betty is the perpetual battery, she keeps going and going ...
Meals:
* A full breakfast is included with room rate.
* Breakfast is served from: attempt to meet guest needs.
* Special meals available: Low Fat, Restricted and Vegetarian
* Breakfast is served the pool side, wicker sun room, breakfast/dining area.
* Additional food services included in room rate: Afternoon tea, fruit, non-alcoholic
beverage.
Doc and Betty's signature dish, is homemade bread/rolls. Breakfast is prepared on our
wonderful Green AGA Stove and if Doc is in the mood you will enjoy his famous bread or rolls.
And sometimes, Doc even gets a little extra help in making is famous homemade bread/rolls.
Policies:
* Smoking not allowed
* We cannot accommodate guest pets
* consumption of alcohol is permitted (Bring your own.)
* Deposit amount required: Minimum of at least half
* Accommodations are not suitable for children
* No childcare is provided
* Check in time is 8 PM
* Check out time is 11 AM
* Open all year round
Prices:
* Accommodations: two rooms furnished in country
* There are 2 guest accommodations (2 with private baths)
* Single occupancy rate is $60.00
* Double occupancy rate is $60.00
* Other Accommodations: Swimming pool, computer for business use, bird watching
and leisure walks as well as excellent highway for biking, 7 miles from bridge to Canada.
* Out home is decorated with many family items, antiques and collectibles.
* Some antiques are for sale as your browse around.

At Rt 37 & 68 turn right and go approximately 6 miles, house on right with cedar lined driveway,
sits back in. If coming
from Canton we are approximately 12 miles. Sign in front and 4777 on mailbox. From 81 go to
37 and follow same
directions, From OTTAWA TAKE BRIDGE to 37 turn right to second light, turn left on Route 68.

* Directions from airport: 81 North Exit 49 to Route 37 through small towns and skirt
downtown Ogdensburg, at
second light turn right on Route 68.
