The Harbor House Bed & Breakfast ( Staten Island, NY )
The Harbor House Bed & Breakfast is nestled in the bank of the New York Harbor, next to the
Historic Alice Austin House & Park. We command a majestic view of the Manhattan Skyline,
the Harbor, Brooklyn, and New York's famous bridges. Free parking on and off street. The
Harbor House Bed & Breakfast is a quick 8 minute bus ride and a 25 minute ferry ride to and
from Manhattan. The ferry is free and runs 24 hours daily. In Manhattan the ferry terminal is a
short leisurely walk to all the lower Manhattan tourist attractions such as Wall Street, Statue of
Liberty, and Battery Park.

Prices quoted for double occupancy. Please add $20 per extra person per night. Weekend
booking is a minimum of 2 nights. Add $10 supplement for single night stay.

Current policies are as follows:
RESERVATIONS: At the time of reservation we require a non-refundable one-night deposit
including all state and local taxes, and other amounts due under law. We accept MasterCard,
VISA, Discover and American Express as well as money orders and travelers checks. Early
checkout will be charged one additional night's stay.
RESTRICTIONS: The Harbor House is a non-smoking facility and pets are not allowed. Guests
are encouraged to refrain from making noise between the hours of 11:00pm and 7:00am.
There is no curfew.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Guests are responsible for damage to the furnishings, fixtures, bedding,
and decorations in the rooms. Please be careful and watch your children to avoid being
charged for broken items. Guests provide their own toiletries and towels. Towels can be
provided at a nominal fee of $5.00 per towel if they are returned in good condition.
Directions to the Harbor House by car:
From JFK and LaGuardia Airports: Take the Verrazano Narrows Bridge (lower level, far right
lane) to Hylan Boulevard exit. Turn right on Hylan and drive about 8 blocks to the dead end. We
are on the left corner.
From Newark Airport: Take Interstate 95 South or Route 1&9 South to the Goethals Bridge
(Interstate 278 East, also called the Staten Island Expressway.) Take Lilly Pond Ave/Bay street
exit and turn left onto Lilly Pond. Continue to Bay Street and make a left. Continue to Hylan
Boulevard (the third light) and turn right. We are one block down, on the left corner.
Directions to the Harbor House by cab:
Tell your cab driver the address of the Harbor House and be prepared to use the directions
listed for "car" to assist your driver to our door. The driver might ask in which area of Staten
Island the Harbor House is located. We are in Rosebank.
Directions to the Harbor House by public transportation:
From JFK (Kennedy) Airport: Take the "AIR Train" to Howard Beach subway station, then take
the "A" train (subway) into Manhattan. Change to the "5" train at Fulton Street. Exit the train at
Bowling Green station and take the Staten Island Ferry. Take the S-51 bus to Hylan and Bay
Street; walk across Bay Street and down one block. We are on the left corner.
From LaGuardia Airport: Take the Q-33 bus to the 74th Street subway station. Take the "R"
train through Manhattan to the Whitehall Street/South Ferry station. Exit the train and take the
Staten Island Ferry. Take the S-51 bus to Hylan and Bay Street; walk across Bay Street and
down one block. We are on the left corner.
From Newark Airport: Take the Olympia Trails bus into Penn Station in Manhattan. Take the "1"
train to South Ferry station and take the Staten Island Ferry. Take the S-51 bus to Hylan and
Bay Street; walk across Bay Street and down one block. We are on the left corner.
