Built in 1826 as academy of higher education for young men, Temple Hill has been a private
home for well over a century. Located in National Historic Landmark village Geneseo, our
secluded grounds with century old trees will make guests feel they are at a grand country estate,
but with a convenient village location. Within blocks of Main Street and SUNY Geneseo, and only
short drives to Letchworth State Park, Conesus Lake, Finger Lakes wine country, and the many
area antique shops make Temple Hill an ideal place to venture from.
Temple Hill offers four well appointed rooms each with private baths, cable tv, DVD players, hair
dryers, and wireless hi speed internet. Common areas include an elegant dining room, covered
veranda, and a second floor sitting area. Guests are welcome to wander the lawn and gardens,
and enjoy the in-ground swimming pool in season.
Rooms & rates:
All rooms at Temple Hill have attached private baths, cable TV, DVD players, hair dryers, and
wireless hi-speed internet. After a restful night's stay, guests will enjoy a full breakfast which will
include fruits and juices, home baked goods, and hot entrees such as breakfast stratas, French
toast, frittatas, pancakes, and more. Breakfast will be available from 8 to 10 a.m. (arrangements
may be made for early travelers).
Check in after 3 pm, check out 11 am.
Our Academy Room offers a Queen bed, and bath with shower and jacuzzi tub for $179 per night.
The Oak Grove Room has a King bed, attached bath with large shower for $159 per night.
The Genesee Room also has a King bed with a shower in the bathroom for $149 per night.
The lovely Valley Rose Room has a beautiful Queen sleigh bed, bath with a large shower, also
for $149 per night.
Applicable State & County taxes will be added to room rates. One night's room fee is required for
deposit upon booking, charged to your MasterCard, VISA, American Express, or Discover.
Cancellations 14 days before the reserved date will have their deposit refunded less a $20
administrative fee; less than 14 days the deposit will be refunded only if the room is rebooked.
For discounts available see our Specials of the Season; certain weekends and holidays may be
excluded. Weekends requiring two night non-discounted stays include SUNY Geneseo
Commencement, Homecoming, Spring Fest and Parents' weekends. Smoking inside Temple
Hill is not allowed; guests may enjoy tobacco on the veranda or grounds. Sorry, no pets - please
enjoy our dog Willa and cat Frida. Children welcome at our discretion.

Temple Hill is situated on 3 acres in the heart of the village of Geneseo. We are only four blocks
from Main Street, where guests may shop, dine, or visit SUNY Geneseo. The residence is a three
story brick mansion built in the New Republican Style. The entrance is framed by a grand
palladian window. In the foyer is a one-of-kind staircase that leads to the second floor where four
guest rooms and a sitting room await.
The elegant dining room with hand painted Japanese wallpaper is straight through the foyer, and
leads to the covered veranda which may be enjoyed by all. You may have your breakfast in either
location, weather permitting.
Guests are invited to stroll the lawns and gardens - beautiful any time, and in season are
welcome to use the in-ground pool.
