Welcome to Inn on the Main, an 1840 Victorian bed and breakfast located in the scenic
Finger Lakes region of Upstate NY in Canandaigua, New York.
The Alfred Morris Gifford House has been lovingly renovated to anticipate the every need
of travelers to the Canandaigua, NY area. Located in the heart of the Historic District, the
Inn is a short walk to shops, restaurants, historical sites, as well as breathtaking
Canandaigua Lake.
The Inn is decorated in many period furnishings reminiscent of days gone by and boasts
bold, carved fireplaces in the dining room and parlor.
Enjoy our full breakfast; walk the spacious foyer featuring a majestic oak split staircase;
enjoy tea or coffee accompanied by freshly-baked pastries in the parlor, foyer or upstairs
sitting area.
We have WiFi wireless internet and central air conditioning. In season, guests may enjoy
lounging on the spacious porch, furnished with quaint, antique wicker true to the period of
the home.

Guest Rooms
Four guest rooms and the Inn's Suite are available to accommodate our guests. All
rooms feature en suite baths, several with fireplaces and/or Jacuzzis.
Each guest room includes a TV with cable, and a DVD/VCR/CD player, with movies
available for guests to view in the privacy of their rooms. We also have central air
conditioning and WiFi wireless internet.
Rates: From $145.00 - $210.00
The Gifford Room
Our largest room boasts a queen-size four-poster bed and is furnished with many oak
antique accent pieces.
This luxury suite has a:
• couch
• armoire
• larkin desk
• fireplace
• romantic corner jacuzzi.
Nightly Rates: $190
The Hubbell Room
Offers a queen-size antique brass bed, harboring a bright, cheery garden motif. Includes
window bench seat and wicker chair for your reading comfort.
Nightly Rates: $145
The Clement Room
Offers a bold queen-size iron bed, quaint Victorian accent chairs and a fireplace. En suite
bath features an antique clawfoot tub/shower. The Clement Room is tastefully decorated
in victorian toil 'e in cream/black.
Nightly Rates: $160
The Burrell Suite
Our newly decorated classic victorian two-room suite features a two-person whirlpool tub
and corner fireplace. A six ft. oak headboard adorns the queen-size bed, and the room is
appointed with a unique oak armoire and dresser.
The sunroom/sitting room also has a TV and the loveseat is a twin-size couchbed to
accommodate a third person, if need be. The room's 1880s bathroom has been restored,
featuring built-in soaking tub, corner sink, and unique split window/medicine cabinet.
Nightly Rates: $200
$20 additional charge per day for accommodating a third person.
The Inn's Suite:
Suitable for up to 5 adults and suitable for families
2 bedroom/1 bath suite offers a:

• large master bedroom on 2nd floor with chaise lounge & adjoining bath

**This is a self-sufficient unit. Breakfast is not included, but breakfast foods are provided
in the suite.
**Two Day Minimum May-October

Check-in: 3 p.m. | Check-out: 11 a.m.
Inn Policies:
* Rooms comfortably accommodate 2 people. Well-behaved children over 12 are
welcome.
* Ours is a smoke-free environment; however, smoking is permitted outside the Inn on
the porches and on the grounds. Please be considerate if other guests are enjoying the
porches and grounds by refraining, or by moving to another location. Your cooperation is
appreciated.
* The B & B rooms are for registered guests only. Visitors are not allowed upstairs unless
arranged with innkeeper, as a courtesy to the other guests and to the innkeepers who
reside on the premise. Visitor’s guests are welcome in the common rooms and on the
porch.
* Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets in the Inn, but can accommodate small
crated pets in the Inn's Suite.
