The Atwood House ( Lincoln, Nebraska )
The Atwood House is an 1894 Neoclassical Georgian Revival Mansion located two blocks from
Nebraska's capitol. This unique 7,500-plus square foot home is decorated throughout with
Victorian antiques.
You will "experience the elegance" of a three-room suite. The Atwood Suite is Lincoln's most
elegant bridal suite. It provides over 800 square feet of ambiance including a working fireplace
and a six-window bay in the sitting area. The bedroom has an antique three-piece walnut and
marble Victorian bedroom set and ornate walnut wardrobe. The bath is patterned after a Roman
bath. It features a two-person heart shaped whirlpool tub surrounded by columns and marble.
Two of the other suites also have a 19th century three-piece bedroom set and private sitting area
for a comfortable place to relax. Two suites have a whirlpool and one has a working fireplace too.
Each private bath has monogrammed towels, fluffy robes and all of the amenities.
Enjoy breakfast prepared in our award winning kitchen and is served in the formal dining room,
the sun room or the privacy of your suite. The exquisite fare is served on bone china with sterling
silver, crystal and fine linens.

* Due to the large volume of requests for suites, we have a strict cancellation policy - if you must
cancel, please let us know as soon as possible. If you cancel within seven days of day of stay a
$50.00 cancellation fee will be charged. No shows will be charged the full suite rate. Policy for
single occupancy business travelers scheduled for stays Sunday - Thursday is 5pm day of stay.
Dining Room:
We serve breakfast from 7 to 11 am in the dining room, sun room or in the privacy of the suite (in
the main house). Breakfast is always served on bone china with sterling flatware, Waterford
Crystal glasses and linen napkins. Visible in the pictures are some of Ruth's teacup and saucer
collection and some of Larry's cranberry glass collection. Larry also has several antique clocks,
including the two ogee clocks shown here.
