Deer Crossing Bed and Breakfast ( Hamilton,Montana )
Hi Folks, Thanks for checking out Deer Crossing!  If you're looking for a quiet place within
easy walking or riding distance of the largest wilderness area in the lower 48 you've just
found us. Want to fish on the greatest trout streams in the world? Yep, you've found us.
Deer Crossing Bed & Breakfast is kinda a "magical place" that's got plenty of property,
activities and is great for a romantic hideaway or a family reunion.

This is what "Big Sky" Country is all about!  DC B & B is located along the historic Lewis
and Clark Trail between Hamilton and Darby, Montana, nestled on twenty-five acres of tall
pines and lush meadows overlooking the beautiful Bitterroot Valley. Relax on the deck with
a steamy cup of freshly ground coffee and watch the sun rise over the Sapphire
Mountains. Enjoy sweet dreams in one of our suites, guestrooms or cabins. Awake to a
hearty ranch breakfast served in the Sun Room with its fabulous views, then plan your day
to include horseback riding, world class fly fishing, hiking, exploring historical sites, or
relaxing on the deck to soak up the quiet beauty. (Or even listen to Stu "ramble" on about
the history of the valley and DC B & B. - no extra charge!)

This season should be great as we had plenty of snow up at Lost Horse " Powder
Mountain"   The peaks are covered with snow insuring us a wet and green summer with
streams full and flowing. Wildlife has been abundant here at DC early this year with lots of
Whitetail Deer, Elk, and Bear sitings. Wolf, lion and others make their presence known by
track and sitings in the back country.  The widlflowers of Montana and hundreds of
species of birds visit as DC is on a major flyway.

No matter what time of year you choose to visit, you will find that in our valley the skies are
a little bluer, the air is fresher, the days are slower paced, the quiet is quieter and the
people are friendlier. We invite you to "Kick off your boots, hang your hat and make yourself
at home!" Once you drive through our gate you're family!

Give the Bitterroot more than a few days. This area is filled with history and you can take
great day trips to ghost towns, Sapphire mines, railroad museums, great historic
mansions or head back into some of the most pristine wilderness area left in the 'lower
48! How about digging for crystals on your own or taking a hike up to some beautiful
mountain lakes and having lunch looking up at Trapper Peak? Deer Crossing is your best
place for "base camp" that you can choose!

Inn Rooms and Cabins

All rooms and cabins have Dish Network TV and in January we got WiFi - this is getting to
be the "Modern" vs. the "Old" West! Guests have access to picnic areas, BBQ's, the library
in the main lodge, and plenty of local "know-how" from Stu & Linda, your innkeepers. We
have a great library about Montana, the Valley and many of the historical areas around the
next corner. Great "lending" library of fictional works, too!
