The Residence Valentina is set in the area of Castellammare del Golfo (Trapani - Sicily), a little
town with a pretty harbour, a huge sandy beach called “Playa” and some beautiful “faraglioni”
(big rocks emerging from the sea) in front of the ancient tuna station. It is also close to the
natural reserve of the Zingaro. The area is famous for its unpolluted rocky coastline and
wonderful crystal clear waters.
The sea and the Mediterranean climate will make your holiday unique and you’ll have the
possibility to see one of the most lovely landscape of the island.
The Residence is set in Contrada Bocca della Carruba in complete harmony with the
landscape. It is two kilometres from the town in a plot of land of 15.000 square metres, mostly
planted with trees. The area is particularly quiet and offers the visitors a wonderful scenery of
the entire gulf of Castellammare.
The residence is a two-storied building with eight two roomed flats (seven flats for 2/4 persons
and one flat for 4/6 persons). Each one is independent of the others. One flat is accessible to
people with disabilities as well. The flats are comfortable and practical, the furniture is pleasant.
The flats offer:
Area to stay during the day: Living room/dining room with kitchen and sofa bed.
Area to stay during the night: A doubleroom and a bathroom with shower.
Area for relaxing: a veranda equipped with garden furniture.
The swimming pool and common services: On the panoramic terrace is the beautiful
swimming pool equipped with a shower, sunshade parasol, deckchairs and a garden where
you can enjoy relaxing moments.
-Barbecue, solarium and car park are available for the guests.
-On request: it is possible to have a bus for the beach or for excursions.
Pets are allowed in this residence.
What to see in the surroundings: The residence is set in a strategic point to visit West Sicily.
Castellammare del Golfo is itself a historical and artistic centre, where different civilisations
have followed one another and have left many traces. A few kilometres away (10 km9 you will
find Scopello with its famous faraglioni where once upon a time, the hugest tuna station of west
Sicily used to work. Inland, there are the hot river “Fiume Caldo” and the famous thermal baths
and spa “Segestane” whose sulphurous waters are gifted with curative properties. The position
of the residence is propitious to go on many cultural excursions: At 20 Km: Segesta with its
amazing Doric temple (5th century B.C.) and the Greek theatre in an excellent state of
preservation. At 60 Km: Erice, a real medieval town set on the Mount Erice where you can enjoy
a beautiful sight on the Egades Islands. At 80 km: Selinunte with the biggest archaeological
site of the Mediterranean and famous all over the world.
