The Decor in the Room was very vibrant and homely, the room itself even had its own

Following mornings breakfast was one hell of a feed and everything was cooked freshly
as we arrived to the dinning you could tell so in the taste.

Location:
Comeragh View B&B is located off the R675 Coastal Route in the Picturesque Area of
Ballyvoile. The nearest village is Stradbally.
Stradbally:
Stradbally is embedded in a rich countryside which has attracted settlers over the last
2000years. The Village still shows signs of Iron Age settlements, some of which
straddle the protruding headlands into the Atlantic Ocean nearby and is also nestled into
the backdrop of the Comeragh Mountains which add greatly to the majestic background
of this quaint Waterford village. Just off to the north of the Village lies Drumlohan, an
ancient Celtic underground refuge lined with re used inscribed stones from a lost pre-
Christian ritual site. Stradbally was built upon what was known as the King’s Highway
which is now known as the R675 Coastal Route. From the early 14th Century to the Late
18th Century Stradbally became somewhat of a war zone between rival clans the Powers
and Fitzgerald’s, a tell tale sign of this still stands today in the graveyard of St. James
Church. The Fitzgerald’s eventually came through and began restoring Stradbally to its
natural beauty which can be seen today.
Stradbally has won a variety of awards for the beauty and it’s well kept landscapes.
Some awards won by the village include Best Thatched Cottage Award, Category Winner
Tidy Towns and Twice represented Ireland in the International Entente Florale
competition.
When visiting Stradbally you can enjoy miles of peaceful walks on country lanes, along
shore and cliff or in the mountain areas along the Sli Slainte designated routes. You can
also visit any one of the 3 sandy beaches within walking distance of the Village. Boating,
Swimming and Fishing can be enjoyed in the quaint cove. Explore the ancient ruins and
historical sites in the area and venture to Whelans bar afterwards to get the inside track
and enjoy a friendly atmosphere and drink.
