Victorian Lace Bed and Breakfast is located at the northeast edge of Cedar Rapids and
Marion in a quiet safe neighborhood with plenty of off street parking and space enough to
roam.

The Summer Kitchen or Cottage
The Summer Kitchen or Cottage has quaintly been taken back to the charm of yesteryears.
It has the wainscoting walls and ceiling from days gone by, yet is as modern as a private
whirlpool for two, central heating and air conditioning and cable television.
There is a private entrance for this secluded cottage away from it all. The Summer Kitchen
or Cottage was originally where the lady of the house would do her cooking and canning in
the summer time to keep the heat out of the house. This quaint cottage is furnished in
antique kitchen theme.
The Holiday Suite
The 1,100 square foot Holiday suite is a four room suite which includes a hidden room to
explore and a whirlpool for two in the private bath. The 3rd floor location offers a view of the
Cedar Rapids and Marion area from the sky lights. There are 3 Christmas trees decorating
this treetop hideaway, and a 48 star flag above the bed.
Both bed and breakfast rooms have in-room refrigerators that are stocked with a bottle of
sparkling wine or sparkling grape, adult beverages, meat and cheese tray, an evening
dessert and chocolates.
Swimming Pool
Our swimming pool offers a refreshing retreat on a hot summer's day. Our spacious terrace
is perfect for sun-bathing and relaxing.
Romantics Weddings at Victorian Lace Bed and Breakfast:
Victorian Lace has been noted as the most romantic bed and breakfast in eastern Iowa. I
have been told that my weddings are too.
I will give you a copy of the wedding and the whole sermon for future reference, and a
fictitious license from the early 1900's.
I have married over 300 couples in the last five years. The Bed & Breakfast can handle up to
10 people at the wedding, if your wedding is bigger then that, I will help you find another
location.
Wedding Fees:
1. For the wedding I charge $140, that includes 1 hour of my time, for the wedding.
2. For rehearsals I charge $30 that includes 1 hour, and usually that's enough time to
practice.
3. For travel I charge $35 for the wedding and $35 for rehearsal. Additional travel charges
may apply for weddings outside Cedar Rapids depending upon the distance the following
charges may apply- .50 cents per mile, each way.
4. For a room that a bride can use to get ready in,(something borrowed,something blue) at
Victorian Lace we charge $30.
Our History:
Victorian Lace Bed and Breakfast was built as a private residence and owned by the
Stookey family for more than 70 years.
Jim and Renee Condit are only the third owners of the property in the thirty years since the
Stookey family lived in the home.
The home was changed into a Bed and Breakfast in 1998. With easy access to both Cedar
Rapids and Marion events and the charm of days gone by this is a get away sure to please.
Our Location:
Located minutes from Cedar Rapids and Marion area events, we are situated only 2 miles
north of Collins Road on C Avenue in NE Cedar Rapids.
Directions from I-380: East off of I-380 on Collins Road. Drive East 1.5 miles to C Avenue
NE. Turn Left on to C Avenue. Drive North 2 miles to a pair of red flashing lights. Turn left on
to East Main Street and turn right in to the first driveway of our Cedar Rapids / Marion Bed
and Breakfast
When you park in the parking lot, you will be facing the back of the house, take the sidewalk
to the front of the house and Renee or James will greet you there.
