At Three Roses Bed & Breakfast (circa 1890) in Pontiac, IL, you can experience the comfort of
our clean and beautiful guest rooms and enjoy personalized service when it comes to your
breakfast. All breakfasts are cooked to order from scratch and can accommodate any special
diets including gluten free. Just let us know of your special dietary requirements when you
make your reservation.
Our guests enter our home through our red carpet entry way and are then treated to a private
and relaxing stay. If arriving by train, or bus we will pick you up at the Pontiac Amtrak depot or
BP Travel Mart (at no charge) and drive you to Three Roses where you can drop off your bags.
A short 1 1/2 block stroll will take you to the quaint shops in beautiful historic downtown
Pontiac, awarded the Governor's Home Town Award for 2010.
After shopping, you can relax in the Jacuzzi or take a bubble bath while we prepare for you a
delectable dinner (an optional extra) that you have chosen in advance from our extensive
dinner menu. You will enjoy a dinner made fresh from scratch without preservatives. Everything
is home made, even the bread. We don't believe in compromising when it comes to the
food we serve our guests.
A full breakfast (included in the room rates) is served on elegant china in the dining room or on
the wrap around porch (weather permitting), along with linen napkins, candlelight and
sparkling crystal. Guests choose their breakfast in advance from an extensive menu. Three
Roses is, "Where Breakfast Is An Event!" Guests also choose the time they wish to
have breakfast, anywhere from 8AM to 11AM.
Pontiac is a great little town with a population of 12,000 and centrally located along the Illinois
Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor. There is much to see and do in Pontiac. Check
www.visitpontiac.org to see what events might be going on in and around the Pontiac area
during your scheduled visit. We are 35 miles from Bloomington/Normal, 100 miles from
Springfield, 100 miles from Chicago, 200 miles from St. Louis, 150 miles from the Quad
Cities, and 195 miles from Indianapolis.
At Three Roses we offer our motorcycle guests and those with vintage cars a spot in our
secured garage to give you extra peace of mind. Your best night sleep is our goal. We are
conveniently located off Interstate 55 near Old Route 66 and on Route 116. Reservations are
required.
Regrettably, Three Roses Bed and Breakfast is not handicapped accessible. All guest rooms
are located on the second floor.
We follow the guidelines of the Illinois Bed & Breakfast Association, the State of Illinois, and
the Livingston County Health Department. Inspected at least annually by the Livingston County
Health Department. Sharon is a certified food handler licensed by the state of Illinois.
Our Guest Rooms:
The "Garden Room" has a private in room half bath (toilet and sink). Guests staying in the
"Garden Room" can choose between the large bathroom or the smaller bathroom with a
single person size Jacuzzi tub and shower. The "Garden Room" has a king size bed, a vanity
which can double as a desk, a table, a 25 inch closed captioned cable TV (with some movie
channels) and VCR/DVD player. The upstairs thermostat is in this room.
* RATES $159.95 plus tax for one night stay for two persons with full breakfast (cooked to
order). Rate is $30 less for singles.
* $119.97 plus tax (per night) for two night stay for two persons with full breakfast (cooked to
order) both mornings. Rate is $22.50 less per night for singles.
"Monica's Room" has two twin size beds. This room can have a private bath (choice of
bathrooms) or a shared bath. It also has a ceiling fan and desk.
* RATES $129.95 plus tax for one night stay for two persons with full breakfast (cooked to
order). Rate is $30 less for singles.
* $97.46 plus tax (per night) for two night stay for two persons with full breakfast (cooked to
order) both mornings. Rate is $22.50 less per night for singles.
"Jennifer's Room" has a queen size bed and no TV. Ladies, this is the room to choose if you
want your sweetheart's undivided attention. This room uses the smaller bathroom with a
single person size Jacuzzi tub. It has a desk and ceiling fan. In the winter, Jennifer's Room is
the coolest of all the rooms. If you have hot flashes, this is the room for you. Because of the
size of the bathroom, this room is not suitable for larger guests.

The Garden Room and Marcia's Room have 25" color, closed captioned TV's with Cable and
VCR/DVD players. All rooms have desks and free high speed wireless internet. All rooms have
ceiling fans, central heat and air, and clock radios. There is a guest refrigerator on the second
floor. Guests may watch our movies or bring their own. Other amenities available on request
are: laundry service, iron/ironing board, and copy machine. Full service breakfast is served
from 8:00am until 11:00am as chosen by our guests. Earlier breakfasts are discouraged due
to everything being made from scratch (we start preparing breakfast 2 hours before it's
served); however if you must have an earlier breakfast, please discuss it with your host.
Guests will choose their breakfast from our breakfast menu at least the day before arrival,
otherwise, it is cook's choice.
Guest Computer
We now have a guest computer to check email or send messages. Please ask if you need to
use it. We also offer free local and long distance phone calls (within the continental US only)
using our phone line. Please ask if you need to use the phone. We have several cordless
phones.
Bathrooms
We have a total of 3 full baths, 2 on the second floor, and one on the first floor. We don't book
more than 2 couples at a time so each guest has their own bathroom on the second floor. All
bathrooms are off the hallway. If a third person or couple wants to stay when we have already
booked 2 couples (or persons in two guest rooms), the 3rd couple or person may use the
bathroom on the first floor (private access) if desired. Advanced notice is required. Bathrobes
are provided for guest use or you may bring your own.
Pet Policies
Pets: Only housebroken pets are allowed. Should your pet damage the property in any way,
you will be expected to cover that damage. Please let us know in advance if you will have a pet
with you. Owners must pick up after their pets. Pets must be on a leash when outside our
home (city ordinance). There is a $25 pet fee for pets that shed.
Children
Since most of our guests come to get away from it all, including their children, children are
welcome when accompanied by their parents and no other guests are staying. Parents are
responsible for their children. There can only be 2 persons per guest room(state law). Guests
who have small children with them will be charged additional fees depending on the
resources used by the child. Please ask.
Credit Cards
We accept Master Card, Visa, & Discover or you may use Pay Pal. Guests may also pay by
personal check at least 2 weeks in advance, traveler's checks, or cash. A deposit covering
50% of your stay is required when making reservations. A valid credit card is required when
making a reservation.
Cancellation Policy
Because we are such a small business, cancellations affect us greatly. Deposits are refunded
with at least one week notice less a $25 administrative fee and are forfeited with less than 1
week notice, unless we are able to rebook the room(s) that night, then the $25 fee applies.
Rooms cannot be held without a deposit.
Free Parking
We have a concrete pad in front of our house for convenient guest parking. It's just a short walk
to the front door. For guests wanting to park in back of the house, please park in the front of the
driveway on the left side so that you can bring your things in with the shortest walk. Parking in
the back can be tricky, so if you wish, we will park your car for you. If you are driving a rare,
vintage, or extremely expensive car, let us know ahead of time, and we will park on the street
so you can park in the garage. Motorcycle drivers may also park in the garage if you let us know
before your arrival.
Check In: After 4PM
Check Out: By Noon
Please note that check in and out times are intended to give us time to properly prepare for
your arrival. We need to change all the bedding, vacuum, scrub, and sanitize. Guests arriving
before 4PM will be charged an additional 1/2 day (except for dropping off luggage if arriving by
train or if agreed to by innkeeper). Guests staying past noon will be charged an additional 1/2
day. If you arrive before 4PM and leave after 12 noon, you will be charged for 2 days. Early
arrivals and late departures make it impossible for us to rent your room the day before your
arrival or the day of your departure.
