Kailua-Kona is a very comfortable laid back B&B Inn. This Bed & Breakfast Inn was
designed and built by the Owner, Ken Smith in the style of an 1800's traditional plantation
coffee country cluster home. If you are looking for a touch of aloha from Historical old
Hawai'i with good food, clean rooms, reasonable prices and private baths, this Kona B&B is
it.
Usually, folks go on a vacation and return home needing a vacation from most Hawaiian
Inns. At this County B&B you can go for a walk in the morning and talk to the neighbors
chickens or horses or perhaps see a wild pig on the road. My wife, Sue, goes for a walk
each morning and picks the wild flowers to decorate our breakfast. Or you can find a soft
chair and ease into it with a good book and a tall glass of ice tea or juice on the front lanai of
this lovely Inn.
Ken was in Japan for a year and loved the architecture so he built a stone and tile custom
ofuro (Japanese Hot Tub) with jets. It is deep and wide so a big man can get his shoulders
warm and one jet is very strong for an excellent massage.at this kona b&b. A lovely place to
spend some time for a nice solid sleep for the nights lodging. It is not on all the time so tell
Ken in the mornings breakfast if you want to use it.
This hawaii bed and breakfast inn has a lot of places to just sit and relax and enjoy the
Holualoa Coffee Country. There is a bird feeding station. Ken & Sue have a few Chickens to
keep down the bugs and have range fed eggs for breakfast. Also there are koi ponds and
waterfalls and a garden that could always use some TLC if you are in the mood while
enjoying this Big Island B&B.

constructed by the owner/contractor over thirty seven years on a near acre compound with
big banyan and monkey pod shade trees and many fruit & nut trees with a serious attention
to stone gardens, water falls and koi ponds. The Inn is a Kona Plantation style hide-a-way
estate with deep concern for privacy and a touch of aloha from old Hawai'i. The bird feeder
draws birds from miles around.
Hale Maluhia includes four bed rooms and a virtual tree house cottage in a cluster of four
buildings including the owners, family and staff space. The Japanese Oriental Spa has
been designed with jade stone and ceramic tile and message jets. Include a large reading
and TV Room, a library - game room with Cable/TV/DVD/VCR and a large free movie library.

$99.50 single or couple per night. This a second story, attic/dormer room somewhat Swiss
Family Robinson. It is a large room 11' x 21' with a queen bed, working desk, and room for
kids on roll-a-way beds. It has no party walls so is like a cottage with A.C. Refrigerator, a
private bath and entrance. The room has cable TV, DVD and RoadRunner broadband
wireless access. Very Private.
MAKUA ROOM
$99.50 per couple per night, King bed, Room:12'x14', private bath with large ceramic double
shower and Air Conditioning. Writing Desk viewing nut orchard. Cable TV, RoadRunner

MALIA ROOM

BANYAN COTTAGE
$168.50 per couple per night + tax.
Over 850 sq. ft., large spacious, rustic and very private cottage, w/kitchenette sleeps 2 to 5:

library, working desk area w/broadband and wireless access.
A virtual tree house on the west with a charming lanai and old wooden porch swing and
ocean views. Paved parking for two cars at the door on the east. Includes Full Breakfast

The Banyan Cottage is ideal for honeymoons and private get aways, anniversaries, very
inviting and comfortable.
Our Maile, Pikaki & Jasmine Rooms are unique for a family of 6+ or three couples as a
suite in our Carriage House. Each room has a private bath. The Makua and Malia Rooms
also make a suite in Hale Koa of 1,350 sq ft. for a family or 2 couples. Each room has a
private bath. Also special events such as weddings, family re-unions and seminars are
most welcome.
The Owner is also a Minister and a licensed marriage officiant. The Inn also has a rather
large Christian Library for personal spiritual renewal. An opportunity for spiritual and mental
house cleaning.
The Inn has Cable TV with a DVD/VCR Movie library and RoadRunner broadband wireless
access in all rooms and cottages for most laptop computers. There is also a guest
computer. Includes complete Breakfast Lover's Buffet with a self service omelet bar
including fresh Island fruits, local pastries and our special Daily Fresh Baked Bread, Island
Juices, milk, breakfast cereals, Teas and 100% pure, Family Grown, Kona Coffee. Each
