We provide the beds; you take care of breakfast! Whether this is your first visit to Germany or
one of numerous journeys for you, consider staying with us. We welcome English-speaking
couples, families, and small groups touring Europe as well as those on business trips in the
Heidelberg-Mannheim-Weinheim area. Our home is ideal for travelers who are planning to
stay at least two nights; this gives you time to unwind, relax, and settle in. An excellent vacation
rental. Also is a great alternative to small hotel rooms for those desiring spacious
accommodations.
Our large home has two large, private fully-equipped beautiful apartments, each with two
bedrooms available for your stay. Our house offers you a quiet, comfortable atmosphere in
which to rest, recoup, and regain energy. Save money by stocking the refrigerator with your
own food, making meals or having snacks as you wish, and not having to plan your day
around expensive restaurants. Enjoy life in Germany while keeping your budget in mind.
Because we know that it is important for you to feel fully refreshed after traveling, a special
feature we offer is an American washer and dryer, with hot and cold water complimentary for
your use. We also have soft water, hair dryers, wireless Internet, and other amenities in the
house.
Our residence is located approximately 20-30 minutes north of Heidelberg, 45 minutes south
of Frankfurt, and 20 minutes east of Mannheim. Birkenau is next to the town of Weinheim at
the foot of the Odenwald.
For those arriving without a car, we will help you with public transportation directions to our
house. We can assist you with travel ideas, plans, car rental, and other lodging arrangements.
Our house is a 5 minute walk to the local train station which can take you anywhere in Europe.
We treat you warmly as you are extended family in our home. Please see the following pages
