Just two hours from Atlanta, and a 30-minute drive off I-75, Traveler's Rest in Montezuma
GA, is "A World Away from it all". Located in the heartland of the South, it is within easy
reach of historical sites such as The Jimmy Carter Historic Site, and Andersonville
Historic Prison, as well as in close proximity to the towns of Perry, Americus, Plains and
Macon. A wonderful stop for those that travel between Florida and the north.

3 spacious rooms, each with their own private bathroom, are located on the 2nd floor in
this lovely 1898 Victorian home. The 4th room, the contemporary Carriage House is in
the back garden of the main house, is self contained and on the ground level, making it
perfect for those wanting even more privacy, for longer stays, or for those who have
difficulty negotiating the stairs in the main house. This room also has a mini-fridge,
coffee maker, microwave and a step-in shower for easy access.
A full breakfast is included in the room rate. Dinners, both light and 4-course candle-lit
dinners, lunches and teas available on request and with prior arrangement. (In general a
minimum of 4-days notice).
Traveler's Rest is a pet-friendly location, and there is a $10.00 per stay pet fee, to offset
the cost of additional cleaning. Owners are also responsible for any damages, including
but not limited to any scratches and tears, with a minimum damage assessment fee of
$30.00. "Pet fee" should be added to online reservations from the "Amenities" tab, or will
be manually added by Innkeeper.
For the health and safety of all our guests, no smoking is allowed in any indoor area.
There is a $150.00 cleaning fee for anyone who smokes indoors to cover loss of revenue
for not being able to rent out room after departure, and for the extra cleaning required..
Wireless internet available for those traveling with wireless-enabled laptops.

MASSAGE SERVICES
Massage Services (in-room) are available by a licensed masseuse with prior
arrangement and subject to availablity. Rates exclude taxes and discretionary gratuity.
Services are provided by an outside contractor. Please call for additional details. In
general 7 days advance notice is required.

The Inn and Guest Rooms
3 of the spacious guest rooms are located on the 1st floor of the house, (must be able to
ascend a flight of stairs) have their its own private bathroom, and all rooms feature
comfortable queen beds with dual-control electric under-blankets, complimentary bottled
water, coffee & tea, ceiling fans, bathrobes, hairdryers, TV and CD player. Wireless
internet access is available. The 4th room, the Carriage House, is situated in the garden.
A full breakfast is served in the Dining Room. Movies, games and books are available for
your enjoyment. Relax in the comfortable Parlor, or in a rocking chair on the porch.
The Captain's Quarters: (Formerly the Victorian Suite)
This large suite has a queen size bed and day bed for a 3rd person. The oversized
bathroom features a huge whirpool tubs with colored LCD lights that change color in
time to the built in radio.
Civil War Suite:
Step into the Civil War Suite and go back in time, to a bedroom featuring a queen size
bed, and private bathroom featuring an original claw-foot tub and shower combo. Also
included is a sitting room, which has numerous pictures showing the history of the Civil
War, and offering a comfortable single bed for an extra person who may be traveling with
you.
Garden room:
Springtime floral colors give this lovely room a fresh and airy feel all year round, and also
features a queen size bed, private bathroom (tub shower combo) and TV/DVD.
The Carriage House
Self-contained and situated on the garden level, the Carriage House is decorated in a
suble African theme, features a queen size bed, seating area, flat panel TV,
coffee-maker, microwave and mini fridge. The bathroom has an easy step-in rain-head
shower, and there is ample closet space. The room is perfect for those wanting a bit
more privacy, for longer stays or for those who have problems negotiating the stairs in
the main house.
Although the Inn is not officially handicap accessible, the Carriage House does offer
easier access than the main house rooms since it is situated on the ground floor /
garden level.
