A delightful single storey barn & beautiful Bed&Breakfast cottage both lovingly and sympathetically
renovated to provide an excellent standard of accommodation for those seeking a perfect country
retreat.
The two properties are on the edge of the small village of Little Yeldham, which is on the
Essex/Suffolk borders. Both Mashay Barn & Mashay Cottage are ideal for exploring this lovely part of
East Anglia, which is famously known for filming the TV series "Lovejoy".
The barn offers its guests excellent accommodation whether your stay is a romantic break or a
relaxing holiday. Tastefully decorated incorporating Laura Ashley fine fabrics and accessories.
The bed & breakfast cottage is part of the main house and like the barn offers guests a very high
level of superb accommodation.

Barn Self Catering:
From leaving your car on the off road parking area guests approach the Barn through a very pretty
cottage garden then there are three small steps up onto the decking area.
The front door leads to a newly fitted, fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, dishwasher,
fridge with freezer compartment and pine farmhouse table and four chairs. In the Utility room there is
a washing machine, freezer, ironing board with iron, airier, hoover and cleaning materials.
The open plan area then goes into the lounge, where there is a very comfortable sofa, Flat Screen
Digital TV with Freeview, DVD and VCR players and a CD player with a built in radio. We also provide
Free Wireless Broadband (WiFi)
The bedroom is has a double Wrought Iron bed with a comfortable mattress, crisp white Laura
Ashley bed linen, curtains and cushions add that special touch. A double pine dressing table and
two pine bedside tables offers spacious drawer space. There is also a built in wardrobe.
The en-suite bathroom has a full size cast iron bath together with a Thermostatic Power Shower, full
size hand basin and toilet. Shaver point and constant hot water are available. Fluffy white towels and
a bathrobe complete the ambience.
Outside there is a private decked area, which has a wrought iron table and chairs with a parasol for
meal times or if your just wanting to relax there is two reclining chairs with cushions.
Electricity, gas, bed linen, toiletries, towels, (two bath sheet’s, bath towels, hand towels and face
cloths per couple) and a ‘Welcome Pack’ are all included in the tariff.
Groceries can be ordered in advance of your stay and delivered after your arrival. All the main
supermarkets such as Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Tesco all deliver in the area.
Cottage Bed and Breakfast:
Mashay Cottage offers it’s guests superb quality accommodation with brand new fabulously
appointed Bed & Breakfast in the main house which is approximately 250 years old and boasts a
wealth of character.
Guests are offered a choice of Bed & Breakfast or Self Catering. The property can accommodate two
people, guest facilities are completely separate allowing guests a level of privacy not normally
associated with Bed and Breakfast accommodation.
Initially we offered Bed & Breakfast, but due to popular demand we started accepting guests for self
catering, the option to dine out during the day or in the evening at some of the finest local restaurants
or simply enjoy a light snack will compliment your stay at the cottage.
For self catering guests the cottage has a small fridge, toaster, kettle and toasted sandwich maker
and a microwave.
Sky & Flat Screen TV further enhance your stay at Mashay Cottage.
