About:
The Weller House Inn was built in 1886 and is Fort Bragg's most historic building. It is the city's
sole residence on the National Register of Historic Places. When Ted and Eva Kidwell bought
the Victorian house in 1996 they took on a complete restoration and renovation project, including
reconstruction of the historic water tower, the tallest structure in Fort Bragg. Guests can ascend it
for whale watching, or for a commanding view of the ocean, town, and mountains. The Weller
House Inn opened to the public in the summer of 1998.
The home also features a 900 square foot ballroom paneled in rare California redwood. Guests
of the Weller House enjoy splendid breakfasts in this special place, easily the only room of it's
type.
Along with the stunning Weller House ballroom and statue-filled English gardens, each room is
individually crafted. All have private baths and Victorian appointments. Each of the ten guest
rooms offer comfort, privacy, and quiet. Hand painted tiles, marble and fireplaces, beautiful
stained glass, fluffy down comforters, and other thoughtful details result in a luxurious escape.
Eva's Swedish heritage ensures that each guest will have a most sumptuous breakfast. A typical
Weller House breakfast might include fresh squeezed orange juice, breakfast pastries and
freshly baked rolls, an elegant quiche or fritatta, fresh fruit salad, and plenty of tea and French
roast coffee.
There is a delightful hot tub located on the fourth floor of the water tower, forty feet in the air! The
hot tub can accommodate 6 people. Bathers will enjoy a commanding view of the Pacific coast
while they soak in the warm waters.
The Weller House is located moments from the Skunk Train in Fort Bragg's most historic
neighborhood. Our guests are minutes away from live music nightly, dining, art galleries, shops,
and Glass Beach one of the area's most unique and beautiful beaches. Fort Bragg is a mere ten
minute drive North of Mendocino with its famous dining, galleries, and other areas of interest.

Warm Mediterranean colors and intricate stenciling on the walls make this a favorite. A large gas

Decorated in French Style in deep blues and rich, dark Mahogany. The high bay in the corner of
the room features three stained glass windows which look out onto the Victorian gardens and
fountain. (2nd bed available) The rate is $140, Monday-Thursday, and $160 Friday-Sunday.
Minuet
British, regal, and elegant with elaborate English wallpapers in golds and reds on walls and
ceiling. Painted grain wainscoting. Beautiful mantle over the wood-burning fireplace. (2nd bed
available) The rate is $160, Monday-Thursday, and $180 Friday-Sunday.
Second Floor Guest Rooms:
Lotus
Our Asian-inspired room. Stunning silk paintings on the walls. Large slipper tub out in the room
on a slab of granite. Placid view of the pond and statues. In whites with grass mat wainscoting.
The rate is $135, Monday-Thursday, and $155 Friday-Sunday.
Tulip
Late Victorian/Arts and Crafts decor. This is our largest room and also has a bay with three
stained glass windows. Hand-painted tiles in the bath with a very large clawfoot tub/shower. Six
windows provide a commanding view of the gardens. (2nd bed available) The rate is $175,
Monday-Thursday, and $195 Friday-Sunday.
Midsummer
Our Swedish room! Decorated with antiques that have been in Eva's family for generations.
Large room with King bed. Looks out over the gardens. Charming figured wallpaper in blues
and gold. Large stained glass in the bath with claw foot tub/shower (2nd bed available) The rate
is $175, Monday-Thursday, and $195 Friday-Sunday.
Aqua
Jacuzzi whirlpool bath for two. Stunning hand-painted murals on all four walls by a local artist.

Raven is on the second floor of the water tower. The room is in rich blue and redwood colors. It
features a fireplace, Jacuzzi, King bed, refrigerator, and easy access to the hot tub on the fourth
floor. The rate is $190, Monday-Thursday, and $210 Friday-Sunday.
Heather
Heather is on the third floor of the water tower. There is a commanding ocean view and easy
access to the fourth floor hot tub. The room is in the high Victorian style and features a fireplace,
private bath with shower, and queen bed. The rate is $175, Monday-Thursday, and $195
Friday-Sunday.
