The Bella Vista, a relaxing California bed and breakfast, is located in Malibu Canyon, just 5 miles
from the Pacific Ocean and just up the coast from Los Angeles. We are nestled on the side of the
Santa Monica Mountains with gorgeous views, thus the name Bella Vista. The B&B rooms are part
of our beautiful ranch-style home surrounded by our vineyard. The Champagne Suite has a king
size bed, wood burning fireplace, air conditioning, cable TV/VCR/DVD, phone, wireless high-speed
internet access and an adjoining private bath. Children are always welcome and some pets. We
have a fun loving yellow lab, Sonny, and a Welch Corgi, Molly, that always enjoy company!
We also have a second unit called the Burgundy Room which has a queen size bed, TV/DVD,
phone, and a beautiful new private bath adjacent to the room. Lotsa marble and travertine. PLEASE
Note: Spa is down for repairs.
Both rooms have satellite television (Direct-TV) and hi-speed wireless internet access.
Room Rates:
Our daily rate* is $165 for the Champagne Suite and $125 for the Burgundy Room per night. This
includes a full breakfast each morning. Reduced rates for extended stays are available. There is an
additional $20 charge for a 1-night stay on a weekend or holiday. Reservations will be confirmed
via e-mail, phone, fax or mail upon receipt of your deposit ($100). Please make your check payable
to Michael Kin. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express credit cards.
You can make your reservation deposit below AFTER you have confirmed with us the date(s) of your
visit. From the pull-down menu select the appropriate deposit or 1 day rate and then Press Pay
Now. This will take you to a secure PayPal site and will work with or without a PayPal account using
your credit card.
REFUND POLICY:
Your deposit (minus $25) will be refunded if you contact the Bella Vista within one (1) week of your
arrival date.
Check-in time is not before 3 p.m. and checkout time is at noon. A full breakfast is served between
7 a.m. and 9 a.m. each day. Fruit, fresh baked scones, cinnamon-raisin waffles or breakfast crepes
are some of Michael’s favorites. Depending on the day of the week and/or other bookings, we can
be flexible on times.
We are minutes away from Malibu Beach which has some great restaurants, theaters, beaches and
bike trails. Along the coast there are plenty of places to shop and dine. There are hiking trails
adjacent to our property.
About our Family:
Beth & Michael moved to Malibu Canyon in 1995. The B&B was opened in March of 1996. Since
then we have have guests from all over the world from a distance of 12 miles to 12,000 miles. What
we enjoy about our location is that we have the solitude of living in the mountains (very peaceful and
relaxing) and yet are within minutes of the beach, parks, museums, theaters and amusement parks.
The is a part of our marble entry way. This 2' x 2' section was designed and cut out by Michael as a
surprise for Beth on her birthday. In 1997 we were in Florence. Michael was inspired to do the
marble work after seeing the Basilica.
