Our restored 1891 Victorian vacation home is located in the Downtown Historic District of Grass
Valley, Ca. right in the Heart of the Gold Country! Our charming, luxury four bedroom home is
tastefully decorated with antique & eclectic furnishings, with all of the modern amenities for a
romantic hideaway, wedding party, multiple couples, family reunion, scrapping or other group or a
unique retreat. Why stay at a B & B or hotel, when you can rent our entire Victorian & play?
A Victorian Rose is a uniquely remodeled two story home with four bedrooms and two full
bathrooms. Our guests enjoy an awesome front porch, a quaint living room, a large dining room, a
sunny kitchen breakfast nook, a comfortable family room, a convenient laundry room, a separate
recreation room and a warm hot tub. It’s the perfect relaxing getaway for a weekend or extended stay!

Rates:
Value Season-(Jan-Mar, excludes holidays)
$250 a night, $1750 per week, or $3750 per month.
Regular Season-(Apr-Dec)
$300 a night, $2000 per week, or $4050 per month
Holiday Rates-(Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4th of July etc..)
$350 a night
The above rates are for ten people.
There is an additional charge of $10/person/night.
Pets are also $10/pet/night.
There is a 10% county bed tax and a cleaning fee/stay.

the Grass Valley and Nevada City walking tours, antiquing, and we’re not even that far from the ski
resorts. You will be surprised at the variety and quality of the many nearby restaurants and would you
believe Grass Valley even has a gaming parlor? Nevada County is home to vineyards and wineries
some open for tasting and special events. There are tasting rooms in Nevada City and Grass Valley.
If you enjoy the night life, then there are a few places in Nevada City and Grass Valley to enjoy a little
night music too!

Rock Creek Nature Trail: Off Hwy 20, six miles from Nevada City. One-half mile, easy. Theme is
ecosystems in area. picnic tables.
Sierra Discovery Trail: Hwy 20 out of Nevada City to Bowman Lake Road. PG&E community service
project, less than one-mile loop, interpretive signs, waterfall, restrooms, picnic area with barbecue
on Bear River.
Imaginarium Science Museum: 161 Nevada City Hwy, Nevada City. 530/478-6415 Interactive science
center with hands-on exhibits including wave machine, garden on smells, distorted room & model of
Hubble Telescope lens.
Nevada County Traction Company: Northern Queen Inn, Railroad Avenue, Nevada City. 530/265-
0896 Take “train” past historic sites including the Mohawk Gold Mine & a Maidu village, 3 mile round
trip, stop at Chinese Cemetry. Make sure to call for dates, times & special events.

State Parks:
Empire Mine State Historic Park, Visitor center & mine, 10791 E. Empire Street, Grass Valley,
530/273-8522. The oldest, richest hardrock gold mine in California. It is one of the areas most
popular attractions. You will find restored buildings, exhibits, an illuminated mine shaft & Bourn
Cottage with its lovely gardens.
Donner Memorial State Park, 12593 Donner Pass Rd., Truckee, 530/582-7892, Study Sierra Nevada’
s geological history, fish, hike; in the winter build snowmen, cross county ski.
Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park, 26 miles from Nevada City via Tyler Foote Crossing Road off
