Your hosts Fiona & Maurice welcome you to the Copper Kettle Bed & Breakfast in a prime
location in Nanaimo, BC. We are centrally located on Vancouver Island and ideally positioned
only a 3 minute drive from Departure Bay Ferry. Close by the Float Planes, Bus Terminal, 20
minutes from Nanaimo Airport and 15 minutes from Duke Point Ferry. A very convenient place
for day trips up or down the Island. Victoria – the capital is only 114 km away, about an hour
and a half south from us. See directions.
We invite you to come for a comfortable and peaceful stay with us where you can enjoy the
natural atmosphere where the city meets the sea shore. We are situated less than a 2 minute
walk to the ocean seawall where you can take a leisurely walk and smell the sea while
enjoying a panoramic view of the Islands: Newcastle known for its hiking trails, Protection for
Canada ’s only floating pub. Both islands can be accessed by a short ferry ride or kayak rental.
Gabriola Island is known for local artisan and artistic galleries. Beyond the Islands you can
see the impressive Coastal Mountains of British Columbia. The 15 minute walk along the sea
wall ends at the Nanaimo Harbour, where sail boats, power boats and fresh fishing boats are
docked to set the scene, and downtown you can explore the sidewalk café, boutiques, shops,
restaurants with international cuisines etc.

Our guest rooms are decorated in warm and comfortable colours and with both antique and
modern furnishings. Each room features:
* Each room has an ensuite 3-piece bathroom, robes, slippers, towels and toiletries included.
* A queen-size bed with non allergic pillows/duvet
* Radio alarm clock/CD player & hair dryer
* Individual coffee maker and kettle for hot chocolate/herbal and regular teas
* Air conditioning in both rooms

A bright, clean and refreshing room with antique white furniture.
DICK TURPIN ROOM
A warm, cozy and relaxing room with a wooden rustic atmosphere.
THE SITTING ROOM
If you wish to relax and enjoy reading a good novel or listening to some music, you are
welcome to use the Sitting Room and also enjoy our cozy fireplace on cooler evenings. On the
warmer days enjoy our patio or sit on our benches amongst the perennial flower and rose
gardens.
THE DINING ROOM
Complimentary breakfast is served in our dining room. Your choice of either English or
European Fare.
* English: Choice of eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, toast, jam.

* European: breads, cold meats, cheeses or Fruit and waffles. We can also cater to dietary
needs.

"Stewart Avenue” is a part of the Trans Canada Highway # 1 between Terminal Avenue in
downtown Nanaimo to Departure Bay Ferry Terminal. The GPS coordinates for the Copper
Kettle are: 49.1769, -123.9466.
Coming from downtown Nanaimo on Terminal Ave take the right-hand lane after the traffic
lights at Comox Rd and Terminal, towards Departure Bay Ferry Terminal.
Coming from the Departure Bay Ferry Terminal drive straight ahead at the Brechin Road Lights
(1st set of lights coming out of the terminal) 465 is on the right hand side
Traveling from the Nanaimo Airport or Duke Point Ferry
You can follow Island Highway known as Nicol St and Terminal Ave to Stewart Ave. 465 is on
the left hand side.
Coming from the South on Highway 19 bypass exit at Northfield Road turn right onto Island
Highway South (19A) turn left at Brechin Road and right onto Stewart Avenue (465 is on the
right hand side)..
Coming from the North on Highway 19 bypass exit at Northfield Road turn right onto Island
