Clair and Cliff Oates welcome you to their Arts n Craft style home for bed and breakfast in the
tranquility of Ladner Village. Clair's Bed and Breakfast offers romantic Vancouver B&B getaways
within walking distance of many local restaurants and the shops of the town centre.
In addition to exploring the village, guests can bird watch, bicycle, rent a kayak, golf, horseback
ride, hike or take a river cruise. You can visit numerous shops, as well as discover the many
Ladner area artists.
All rooms in this 1922 Art Deco / Arts n Craft home have very comfortable beds with private en-
suite bathrooms. There is also a cozy guest parlor for T.V. viewing as well as an area to sit and
enjoy the fireplace
Each morning of your stay a full home-cooked breakfast is served in the elegant dining room,
this meal prepared by Clair herself - a gourmet cook.

The Peridot Room
This room is located on the main floor of our home. It is actually closest to the parlour.
This lovely room with its rose covered quilts and unique lamps, has two twin beds for those who
prefer this accommodation, but they can easily convert into a comfy large king size bed with
antique headboards to closely match the walnut wardrobe and dressing table. Two comfy full
length white cotton dressing gowns are provided for your stay. This room has a 3-piece en-suite
with a shower. Free Wireless Internet Service available throughout the house for your use.

The Garnet Room
This room is also located on the main floor, close to the entrance to our elegant dining room.
This room with it’s Cherry Wood Bed and antique wardrobe has been done in what we consider
a fairly masculine decor
It has a comfortable Queen bed with a burgundy or garnet velvet comforter and silk bed-skirt,
with matching drapes. Two comfy full length white cotton dressing gowns are provided for your

The Amber Room
Located at the furthest end of our main floor this beautiful room is done in tones of amber and
gold. Relax in the beautiful and extremely comfortable queen size brass bed and enjoy the glow

Enjoy a long soak in our wonderfully deep, claw foot tub with antique hand shower attachment.
Then curl up in one of the two comfy full length white cotton dressing gowns are provided for your

chairs . These rooms have a unique 3-piece en-suite with a deep, luxurious claw foot tub with

The Jade Suite
This lovely accommodation is also located on our top floor of our Bed & Breakfast. We call it our
Jade Suite.
This incredible room is done in greens and has a wonderful oriental feel about the room with its
turn of the century British antique queen-size oak bedroom set, beautifully carved with Japanese
figures. This suite has its own private sundeck with canopy where you can sit and take the sun,
enjoy refreshments from your own fridge, as well as enjoy the little garden that Clair has planted
for your pleasure. All this while sitting at your own patio set. This room has a modern 3 piece en-
suite with tub and shower. Two comfy full length white cotton dressing gowns are provided for

The Turquoise Suite
This lovely large two-room suite is perfect for the family vacation or for the business traveller. It
has a wonderful queen-size brass and Iron bed, A desk where the business traveller can work
on their laptop computer with our complimentary wireless internet access and there is a
beautiful walnut wardrobe with an antique dresser. In the accompanying room there is matching
walnut twin beds with a Vanity Dresser with Mirror and matching stool. A comfy overstuffed chair
to curl up in with a good book. These rooms share a 4 piece en-suite with spa tub and glass
enclosed shower stall. Two comfy full length white cotton dressing gowns are provided for your

Our Parlour & Salon
Welcome to our parlour - (or as my mother lovingly calls it "The Snug" as it reminds her of a
room in her home back in the 1920's ) We have a beautiful and very comfortable set of french
provincial furniture where our guests can relax and read any of the books from our library or
watch television (complete with VCR) late in to the evening if they choose. Cliff and Clair may join
you at 7:00p.m. for refreshments and let you in on a few of the secrets about the Ladner Village
area.
Come into the salon next to the dining room and enjoy taking a step back into the elegant Art
Deco era through the furnishings Clair & Cliff have collected over the years. The cozy gas
fireplace can be easily ignited and you can listen to your choice of jazz, R & B, pop or anything
else from our large CD collection on the replica Victrola (complete with CD player) or even play
our ancient though recently tuned 1886 piano.

Breakfast
Clair's Ladner Village accommodations offers a tasty hot, home-cooked breakfast generally
served between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. with two sittings in the dining room per day. Upon
check-in you may want to arrange with Clair the most convenient time for your breakfast.
We can arrange for an earlier morning meal should your schedule require it. (i.e.: ferries,
business, etc.) Breakfast can also be served on our wide front porch amid all of Clair's flowers.
Our beautiful patio can be set for parties of four per sitting.
Other Meals
As Clair's Bed & Breakfast is officially zoned as a bed & breakfast as well as a tea shop, Clair
can prepare a picnic lunch for you to take along on your adventure.

Our Gardens
With Clair’s love of gardening please wander the grounds and admire her plants. From the
heritage Weeping Larch’s that grace the front staircase to the 25 foot Magnolia tree that blooms
so incredibly every March. Clair spends hours every week caring for the small green friends that
grow so very well in the wonderful delta soil.
