This is the view from your private cabin in the Ozarks. Historic Sky-Vue Lodge is a family-friendly
Bed and Breakfast with affordable rates, 15 mile back porch views, mouth-watering homemade
breakfasts, and comfortable, modern cabins and lodging. The property sits near the top of Mt.
Gayler in the Boston Mountains, part of the Arkansas Ozarks. It is the perfect place for a
romantic getaway with your spouse, an economical base for family vacations, and is
convenient to the University of Arkansas for football and basketball games. Sky-Vue is also an
inspiring location for an office day retreat, a regional business seminar, overnight to multi-day
church retreats and family reunions.
Conveniently located halfway between Alma and Fayetteville Arkansas on beautiful Scenic
Byway 71, Sky-Vue Lodge is just minutes from many attractions in the area that the whole
family will enjoy. Nearby attractions include Devils Den or Lake Fort Smith state parks, historic
downtown Van Buren, breathtaking scenic drives, and the Arkansas and Missouri tourist train.
Walk across the street to visit Ozark Folkways for locally made art and baskets, hike down and
fish in one of our two stocked ponds, or just enjoy a good book on the covered back porch.
Whether you need the hustle and bustle of an activity filled vacation or a quiet porchswing get-
away, Sky-Vue has it all.
Rooms:
Lodge Room # 21: is the "Parent's Place." This is the suite where Glenn and Janice's parents
stay while they are visiting Sky-Vue. It is a corner room with a magnificent view of the Ozark
Mountains. On a clear day you can see the highest point in Arkansas, Mount Magazine, which is
over 50 miles away! This is one of our kitchenette units and has a gas fireplace for those cold
fall nights. Has a queen bed and a twin sleeper sofa. Will sleep up to 4 people with a rollaway.
$80.00 per night for two.
Lodge Room # 22: is our ADA compliant room. Easily accessible by people needing
wheelchairs, walkers, and other aids. The Lighthouse theme has proven to be very popular and
is a favorite of many guests whether they need the special features or not. Has a king sized bed
(that can be split into two twins) and a queen sleeper sofa. Will sleep up to 4 people. $55.00
per night for two.
Lodge Room # 11: This is in the downstairs walkout area of the conference building. This suite
has a nice kitchenette, living area, and a 5 foot picture window. It is our only unit on the property
with more than one bathroom. # 11 has an electric fireplace. It will also be available for long
term vacation rentals during the winter months (January through April). Has two queen beds
and a twin sleeper sofa. Call 800-782-2003 or e-mail for snowbird information. $80.00 per
night for two.
Lodge Room # 12: Our second room in the walkout area of the lower level. Room # 12 has a
king sized bed in the bedroom and a set of bunkbeds in the corner of the main room. Equipped
with a full bath, kitchen, and has a sitting area with an electric fireplace. This lodge room is
available for weekend, overnight, and conference rentals. Snowbird information can be
requested through our reservation form or by emailing us at the link below. $80.00 for 2 people.
Main Lodge Building:
The Main Lodge, seen here from Scenic Byway US 71, gives a new meaning to “Mi casa es tu
casa.” Our home really is yours too. You may stay in a cabin but you will eat breakfast in our
dining room; you read the paper and enjoy a pre-breakfast cup of coffee in our living room.
Caleb is always anxious to share his train layout with young friends (or family members who
always wanted a train.)
Our newest remodeling project, the Dining Room, is a spacious area with enough windows to
imagine that you are dining outside. Watch the antics of the feisty hummingbirds or any of the
many varieties of birds, native to the Ozarks, that feast at our feeders while you enjoy a hearty
breakfast.
Served between 8:00 and 8:30 year 'round, our full country breakfast usually starts with fresh
fruit in season and hot cereal with homemade granola when the mornings turn cooler. These
are followed by platters heaping with fresh, hot pancakes with sausages, French toast and
bacon, delectable egg casseroles and homemade cinnamon rolls, or many other things on a
menu that is always changing. Of course, no breakfast would be complete without your choice
of coffee, hot tea, or hot chocolate, and ice-cold juice.
Rates:
Range from $55.00 to $85.00 per cabin for 2 people. Each additional person over 11 years old
is $10.00/night. Pets are $10.00/night(no discounts); restrictions on pets apply(see below)
