Camp Run-A-Muck campgrounds are located along the scenic border of Hyder, Alaska and British
Columbia, nestled at the head of the Portland Canal in southeast Alaska.
Off the well-beaten path, this area offers some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.
Imagine the rugged mountain peaks in Alaska and chilling glaciers surrounding you in an
unspoiled setting. Wildlife can frequently be found in the Hyder and Stewart area, such as bear,
wolverines, black bear, grizzlies, marmots, porcupines, beavers and many other species.
Enjoy the spectacular views, amazing fishing, mouth-watering meals, and old-fashioned Alaskan

Most of our hotel rooms feature two queen sized beds with all the comforts of home. The hotel
also has several sleeping rooms and currently we are in the process of adding more rooms.
Be sure to stroll over to the restaurant for some mouth watering meals. We serve Mexican cuisine,
homemade Burgers and, of course, fresh Halibut entrees! We have daily specials.

Friendliest Ghost Town in Alaska and the Grizzly Bear capital of southeast Alaska!

Bar:
This is the place you come to get Hyderized. Not sure what "getting hyderized" means?
Our friendly bartender will pour you a shot of pure grain alcohol. After you have gulped down your
shot the bartender tips the glass over on the table and lights the excess, which burns a bright
blue flame. You have now been Hyderized - and we will issue you a certificate to prove it!
Make sure to buy a T-shirt in the gift shop in the hotel and tell the world that you have been
Hyderized!

The Sealaska Inn Hotel has a cozy and rugged restaurant that will help heal just about anybody's
cravings for down home cooking. Come join us inside where we have 10 foot grizzly hovering over
you, or feast outside on the patio on a warm and sunny day.

Camp Run-A-Muck:
Mountain views to beat all views... and yet, close enough to numerous activities that you will never
be bored while you're staying with us at our campgrounds! We cater to the big rigs (RVs and
motorhomes) and tenters alike, so whatever your camping style, we've got what you need!
We have two campgrounds in Hyder, Alaska...one is for RVs only and our other campground is
located next to the Sealaska Inn Hotel and is for tenters and small campers.
Both campgrounds have laundries, showers, bathrooms, phones, etc. We used to call the
campgrounds Camp RAM North and South. We now call the tenter campground the Sealaska
Campground.
We are located a short distance from main street Hyder, Alaska and just three miles to downtown
Stewart, British Columbia. We've taken every step to ensure you a very pleasant and positive
experience at our campgrounds. No matter what your requirements, or how you enjoy spending
your time, we are very confident we can fulfill your needs. There is a lot to do in this part of Alaska
and Camp Run-A-Muck will provide a splendid home base.
