Guests are welcome to enjoy coffee in the kitchen while your hosts put the final touches on a
breakfast that all the guests rave about. The House of Jade is centrally located. Some local points
of interest within minutes of the House of Jade are: The Museum of Natural History and Fine Art;
three Hospitals; the University of Alaska Anchorage; and, the Alaska Native Heritage Center where
you can personally meet Alaskan artisans. The rustic but quaint Alaska Zoo is less than 10
minutes from the House of Jade.

Breakfast
Is served between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. However, exceptions can be prearranged if necessary. In
the event guests check out prior to 7:30 a.m., a continental breakfast will be available upon
request. Beverages are available 24 hours. The B&B is a non-smoking facility. You are welcome
to smoke outdoors on the porch or deck. Laundry is available with prior arrangement. Check in is
after 3:00 p.m. Check out is noon. You need not worry about pet allergies since there are no pets
in residence.
Rooms:
The Denali Suite; Mt. Denali in Denali National Park was named by the Athabascan people and
means the "Great One". Denali rises 20,320 Feet and is the highest mountain in North America.
We felt it was appropriate to name this suite "Denali" since it is the most spacious of our suites.
Whether you find yourself in Anchorage for a family holiday, business trip or Honeymoon, you'll
enjoy the comfort and spaciousness of the "Great One" in this Anchorage Bed & Breakfast.
The Chugach Suite; The name Chugach comes from the Eskimo tribal name Chugachmiut and
the Chugach National Forest or more commonly known as the Chugach State Park is just a
breath away from the House of Jade. This lovely suite is named in honor of the Park and it's
majestic mountains. This suite has two separate rooms which are separated by the private bath
and a curtained doorway to provide a degree of privacy.
The susitna Suite; Mt. susitna is located across Cook Inlet from downtown Anchorage and was
named after the lower susitna River, however many folks think the name means "Sleeping Lady"
since the mountain actually resembles a recumbent woman. The susitna Suite offers a nice view
or the mountain from it's bay window.
The Redoubt Suite; Mount Redoubt is an active volcano situated in the Aleutian Mt. Range on the
Alaska Peninsula. Mt. Redoubt is the highest peak in the Aleutian Range. Since we have named
our rooms after Alaskan mountains, it seemed appropriate that we should recognize Mr. Redoubt.
The Redoubt Suite was designed for a family of five; however, a single business traveler has
been known to relax and enjoy the comforts of this suite.
